After the emotions of the World Cup quarter finals there is near enough a full round of MLS matches for us to enjoy in the early hours of Sunday morning with 10 fixtures taking place, a couple of which will be live on TV in the UK.
The matches that are not on TV will be shown on the live streams with the various places so we can keep up to date with as many of the matches as possible in the final round of games before the transfer window opens.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off time in brackets)
Philadelphia Union vs Atlanta United (00.00)
Montreal Impact vs Colorado Rapids (00.30)
New England Revolution vs Seattle Sounders (00.30)
Sporting Kansas City vs Toronto FC (01.30)
Houston Dynamo vs Minnesota United (02.00)
Real Salt Lake vs FC Dallas (03.00)
Los Angeles Galaxy vs Columbus Crew (03.30)
Vancouver Whitecaps vs Chicago Fire (03.30)
Los Angeles FC vs Orlando City (04.00)
Portland Timbers vs San Jose Earthquakes (04.00)

Big Matches
The two TV matches see Philadelphia Union taking on Atlanta United and then Los Angeles Galaxy coming up against the Columbus Crew but it could be that the biggest match of the night comes in Kansas City where Sporting KC host the champions Toronto FC who took a mauling in midweek and will be desperate to avoid a repeat of that here.
Best of the Rest
Portland Timbers play host to the San Jose Earthquakes in what feels like a big match in the Western Conference for the pair of them while Orlando City will be looking to get out of this horrible slump they are in when they head to Los Angeles FC. New England Revolution host the Seattle Sounders while Real Salt Lake take on FC Dallas in a half decent looking match.

Betting
I’m going to ride the goal lines over the course of the night with three overs bets. The first one comes in what I expect to be a feisty clash between Philadelphia Union and Atlanta United after the crazy events of the reverse meeting where the Union had two men sent off for dissent over a VAR decision. Philadelphia are full of goals at home while Atlanta are full of them everywhere. I’m expecting the over three line to be covered here.
I’m also expecting the goals to flow when Houston Dynamo meet Minnesota United. Both sides score plenty of goals. Houston are as attacking a side as there is in the MLS while Minnesota have just spanked Toronto for four goals and if they are not confident after that they never will be. Houston games are always wide open so over 3.25 goals appeals strongly here.
Finally I’ll take the overs in the match between Los Angeles FC and Orlando City. It is well known the depths of the slump that Orlando City are in and going to free scoring Los Angeles FC is probably not going to help matters. Los Angeles could cover 3.5 goals on their own here but Orlando usually threaten for goals even on the road so I see no reason why the goals won’t flow in this one too.
