The second round of fixtures in the MLS campaign concludes on Sunday evening when the final two matches are played out. Both games are live on TV for those of us who are in the UK so we will be able to enjoy them.
After an entertaining Saturday evening in the division where goals flowed everywhere you looked we are hoping for more of the same in the two high profile games on Sunday.
Atlanta United vs DC United (19.00)
The opening game of the season at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium sees Atlanta United looking to bounce back from their mauling of last weekend when they take on a DC United side who had the wood over them a little in the previous campaign.
The match will signal an immediate return to Atlanta for Yamil Asad who is now playing for DC United and it will be interesting to see how much information he has passed on to his new teammates about his old ones.
I think it is fair to assume that we are going to see goals here. Atlanta love to get on the front foot and play and have a point to prove while DC United are nicely set up to counter attack so this should be a really attacking match. Over 2.75 goals looks a pretty obvious play.

New York City FC vs Los Angeles Galaxy (21.00)
The second match of the evening sees the two more high profile sides going at it when New York City FC host the much vaunted Los Angeles Galaxy in a battle between two technically proficient sides.
New York City looked very good at Sporting Kansas City last week and that form was franked nicely on Saturday evening while the Galaxy beat the Portland Timbers although the former champions did nothing for that form on Saturday evening.
I’m expecting a bit of a close battle here. If I was going to bet I would probably back the overs once again but I had a couple of solid winners on Saturday night and so I’m not going to push the boat out. I’ll sit and enjoy this one without a bet.
