Another entertaining fixture list in the MLS concludes on Sunday night when four matches take place over America and Canada on an evening where some big sides are playing for valuable points to lift them up their respective tables.
With the Seattle Sounders not in action top spot in the Western Conference is up for grabs on Sunday night which should make for a decent night of football. Two of the four matches are live on Free Sports in the UK with the other two available via the bookmaker streams.
Sunday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off and TV in brackets)
Sporting Kansas City v Minnesota United FC (01.30 – Free Sports)
Vancouver Whitecaps FC v Montreal Impact (02.30)
Los Angeles Football Club v Portland Timbers (04.00 – Free Sports)
San Jose Earthquakes v LA Galaxy (04.00)

Preview
It is a big night in the Western Conference and it gets going with the biggest one of the lot in terms of the league table as third placed Sporting Kansas City host second placed Minnesota United with the winners guaranteed to finish the night on top of the table. That forms one half of the televised double header with the second half coming from LA as the Supporters’ Shield holders Los Angeles FC go up against the Portland Timbers in what is a high profile clash in this particular Conference.
Away from the TV we have the latest battle of the Canadians when the Vancouver Whitecaps host Montreal Impact in a match both sides could do with winning as they look to build up a head of steam and move up their respective tables. The night concludes with the Cali Classico as San Jose Earthquakes will look to bounce back from their midweek mauling when they take on rivals LA Galaxy in what should be a passionate affair even without the crowd.
Betting
After a winner on Saturday night I’m not looking to get too involved here but there is just such an obvious bet that we have to get involved. The over 3.25 goals between San Jose Earthquakes and LA Galaxy might be too obvious but despite that I can’t ignore it, especially when three nights ago San Jose were conceding seven at Seattle and looked an absolute mess defensively and I’m not sure their coach Almeyda has it in him to shore them up. It certainly isn’t his style to.
LA Galaxy make the short trip to San Jose having won their last four matches so they are beginning to trend nicely and they will know full well that you can get at this San Jose side. To be fair to the Earthquakes there are goals in them and I suspect after the other night the only option they have got if they want to win this match is to go in search of them. Matches between these two usually ignite quickly. Only one of the last 10 meetings have had less than three goals and most of them have more than that. I think this one does too.
