Preview
The three televised matches all come from the Eastern Conference on Sunday evening, as a lot in this competition seem to do. The first two see Inter Miami looking to come off the bottom of the table when they host a Nashville SC side who have still only lost one match this season. The other one sees New England Revolution looking to move 10 points clear at the top of the East when they host the Supporters’ Shield holders Philadelphia Union. DC United meet CF Montreal in the other televised match.
There are three matches away from the TV cameras as well. Chicago Fire will go in search of a win when they welcome the New York Red Bulls to Soldier Field while there are also a couple of matches in the Western Conference. The first of those sees the San Jose Earthquakes taking on Los Angeles FC while LA Galaxy will look to move level with the leaders Sporting Kansas City when they host bottom of the table Vancouver Whitecaps.
Betting
When I had a quick look at the card I thought there might be a few bets over the course of the evening but when I’ve had a better look at things there is only the one bet that I like across the night. That comes at Audi Field where I’m expecting DC United to put in another decent display to back up their excellent win over the champions Columbus Crew when they host CF Montreal who have become a little inconsistent recently.
DC United are generally pretty good on their own patch and if you’re not going to be full of confidence after a 4-2 win at Columbus Crew you never will be. Montreal were going along ok but they have hit a wall recently with three defeats and then a draw and you wonder how their confidence will be here. Montreal coughed up a 2-0 lead to Atlanta United in midweek and ended that match with nine men so they’ll be without a couple of suspended players to add to their injury concerns. I like DC United to win this one and win it well in the process.
