The majority of another weekend of action in the MLS takes place on Saturday evening when more matches take place as we begin to head towards the second half of the regular campaign with attention beginning to turn to the top seven places in both tables.

Big Matches
The televised action begins with the opening match of the evening as two of the more famous names in the Western Conference battle it out when the Seattle Sounders welcome Sporting Kansas City to Lumen Field. When they are done the attention turns to the capital where DC United will look to get their season back on track when they host a Nashville SC side who have had a couple of disappointing results recently. The last TV game takes us to Florida where Inter Miami will look for a return to winning ways when they host a Minnesota United who are struggling a little this term.
Best of the Rest
Neither of the Conference leaders are in action on Saturday evening which means that Los Angeles FC could lose top spot in the Western Conference should Real Salt Lake get the better of the 2020 MLS Cup champions Columbus Crew. If they don’t win then Austin FC will end the night top of the table if they come out on top of the Texas derby against FC Dallas by a couple of goals or more. CF Montreal will look to get back to winning ways when they host Charlotte FC while two lowly ranked teams meet when Houston Dynamo host Chicago Fire. The other match to catch the eye is the final one to kick off which sees Portland Timbers welcoming the Colorado Rapids to Providence Park.
Betting
I’ll side with just the one bet over the course of the evening and it actually comes in the first game to kick off where I’m expecting to see plenty of goals when Seattle Sounders play host to Sporting Kansas City. I’ve been against SKC in recent times while they have been dealing with injuries but the majority of their attackers are back with the exception of Alan Pulido who is a longer term injury issue and now they have a core who can trouble opposition.
The problem SKC have in this match is that they go up against one of the leading two front fours in the competition. Seattle Sounders are excellent in attacking areas and might even be better than New York City FC once their coaching change has settled in. Seattle started the campaign off slowly but since winning the Champions League they have got much more into their groove. Kansas City know draws aren’t going to take them anywhere with them third from bottom in the table having played the most games in the Western Conference. I expect both teams to be going for the win and goals can flow as a result.
