Big Matches

St Louis City SC are setting the pace in the MLS at the minute and they are in action on Saturday evening when they play host to fellow unbeaten side Minnesota United in what looks like the pick of the matches. New England Revolution are in front in the Eastern Conference and they go up against the 2021 MLS Cup champions New York City FC at Gillette Stadium. Los Angeles FC and FC Cincinnati are also unbeaten this season. The former head to Colorado Rapids while the latter play host to a troubled Inter Miami team.

Best of the Rest

Atlanta United might well have the frontrunner for the MVP this season in their ranks in Thiago Almada and they will be hoping his return from international duty allows them to put their dreadful 6-1 loss last week behind them when they host the New York Red Bulls. Columbus Crew were the side who dished out that beating and they will be looking to follow up when they host Real Salt Lake. Houston Dynamo have found a bit of form over the last couple of weeks and they take on San Jose Earthquakes while two of the three Canadian sides meet when Vancouver Whitecaps take on CF Montreal.

Betting

Portland Timbers look in a bit of a mess at the minute. Injuries are certainly not helping them but now their goalkeeper has sparked up a rift in the press and that is the person will be have to be between the sticks this week after David Bingham picked up an injury last week. Portland have looked very ordinary going forward so far this season but at the other end they are being exposed way too easily and far too often.

FC Dallas are probably the last opponent they would have wanted as well because they have lost 4-1 in each of their last two visits to Toyota Stadium and FC Dallas have the personnel to feast on the Portland weaknesses at the minute. Dallas were pretty well beaten at Los Angeles FC last week but I expect them to bounce back on home soil with Portland continuing to struggle with injuries. Dallas have an excellent front three and if they are afforded the chances that LA Galaxy were by Portland last week I think the Texan side will dish out much more punishment.

Tips

Back FC Dallas (-0.75AH) to beat Portland Timbers for a 3/10 stake at 1.90 with Bet365
