Big Matches

We are a match short this weekend with the postponement of the LAFC vs Houston game with the former in Champions League action next week, but despite that we have both Conference leaders in action. The New England Revolution currently sit as the best team in MLS and they host second placed FC Cincinnati in a heavyweight Eastern Conference clash. Over in the Western Conference, St Louis City host a Portland Timbers side who they have already beaten in the reverse meeting this season. Seattle Sounders are second in the West and they head to Real Salt Lake, who they beat in week two of the campaign.

Best of the Rest

At the other end of both Conference tables the team at the bottom of each meet when Sporting Kansas City host CF Montreal. One of the more appealing matches comes in Canada where Toronto FC host the former champions New York City FC while another recent MLS Cup winner, Columbus Crew, host an Inter Miami side who will be eager to win to halt a slump of six successive losses. The action gets underway in Tennessee where Nashville SC play host to Atlanta United which sees two of the better players in the league against each other when Hany Mukhtar goes up against Thiago Almada. The match between DC United and Charlotte FC could be a sleeper for the best match of the day.

Betting

The Columbus Crew are one of the better teams to watch in MLS and it is a nightmare trip for Inter Miami to endure off the back of six defeats on the spin. Those defeats could be seen coming too because they all coincide with the injury picked up by Gregore in the third week of the campaign. His shield in front of the back four hasn’t been able to be replaced and while Phil Neville is trying to get the right personnel in place to make up for that, the attack has been seriously impacted.

Miami have only scored six times in their eight matches and only two in this losing run of six games. Five of those losses have come without scoring and you would imagine they are going to be hard pushed to keep a clean sheet against Lucas Zelarayan and co, especially with Cucho Hernandez having returned in the US Open Cup in midweek. To make matters worse for Inter Miami, they were taken to penalties in the cup in midweek where a number of key players had to play a lot more minutes than had been hoped whereas Columbus were able to rest the majority of their side. Lower.com Field is one of the hardest places to go and I don’t see Inter Miami leaving with anything.

Tips

Back Columbus Crew (-0.75AH) to beat Inter Miami for a 3/10 stake at 1.88 with Bet365
