The last match of a big week of action in the NFL comes from CenturyLink Field where the Seattle Seahawks take on the Minnesota Vikings in a match which is expected to have plenty of implications in the NFC playoff race.
The two sides currently occupy the fifth and sixth seed in the NFC but a defeat for either would bring the chasing pack right into play with just three matches left in the season. A win would all but confirm a postseason spot.
Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks go into this match with a 7-5 record for the campaign courtesy of three wins on the bounce and another victory here would have them looking to repeat their heroics of a few years ago when they powered through December and went on to become Super Bowl champions. They have scored 100pts in those latest three victories so there is absolutely nothing wrong with their offense right now.
They have conceded a few points in that time but they have faced some dangerous opponents along the way. The likes of Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers are tough offenses to go up against so I don’t think they have a problem defensively but up against this Vikings passing game they will need to be on form as a unit here.
Minnesota Vikings
It has been a campaign of just not getting going for the Minnesota Vikings so it is to their eternal credit that they remain in the hunt for a postseason spot with four matches of the season remaining. They now need to find some consistency, maybe not necessarily to make the playoffs but certainly to give themselves some positivity and belief going into them.
It is hard to detect why the Vikings are not going better than they are because they are wonderfully balanced on offense and they have a decent enough defence which has enough of a pass rush to get opposing quarterbacks panicking. It can only be a coaching thing but that sort of issue is not going to be looked at this late in the season.

Betting
I can’t put my finger on why the Minnesota Vikings are not performing much better than they are but on the road in particular they really struggle and I’m expecting them to struggle here too. Seattle Seahawks are in good form right now and are running the ball brilliantly so they will be able to keep the Vikings passing game off the field for long periods here.
For whatever reason it isn’t really happening for Minnesota and they are yet to beat a side with a winning record this term. Seattle’s record is more genuine and given the form they take into the match I think they can win this one and cover a field goal in the process.
