NFL 2019 – Week 6 Sunday Early Games Tips and Betting Preview

Once the London game is done the remainder of the Sunday matches in the NFL will take place out in America and among them are some very juicy ones as week six continues at the usual relentless pace.

We have the usual set of divisional matches, games between sides with winning records and those with struggling ones in the normal fun of the fair that makes up a Sunday in the National Football League.

1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)

The big match in this slot is the TV game for those of us in the UK which sees the Kansas City Chiefs playing host to the Houston Texans in a battle of two of the better quarterbacks and offenses in the league. There are only five other matches in this slot but we do still have a televised game among them and that sees the Baltimore Ravens hosting the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC North.

Elsewhere there is a clash between two sides without a win in nine between them as the Miami Dolphins host the Washington Redskins while the Minnesota Vikings take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a clash between two of the best in the NFC. The Jacksonville Jaguars host the New Orleans Saints while the other match sees the Cleveland Browns taking on the Seattle Seahawks in an intriguing contest.

4.05pm/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)

We head to the NFC West for the TV game in the later matches on Sunday night when the Los Angeles Rams host the San Francisco 49ers in a clash the home side need to win to remain in check in the division. That is a match that could have massive implications on the whole season for both teams so it will be worth a watch.

There are three other matches in this slot with the Dallas Cowboys looking to keep the New York Jets winless while the Denver Broncos host the Tennessee Titans in a clash between two sides with losing records while in the other contest the Atlanta Falcons head to the desert to take on the Arizona Cardinals with both sides looking to pick up their second win of the campaign.

Betting

I’ll go with a couple of bets over the course of the evening with the New Orleans Saints favoured in the first of them. I’ve been quite sweet on their chances throughout this season so far and Teddy Bridgewater has done nothing to dampen my enthusiasm. There is no doubt that Gardner Minshew has got the Jacksonville Jaguars’ spirits up but favourites against the Saints even with home advantage? I’m not so sure about that. The Saints defence looks the real deal to me and as good as Minshew is going this will be a real test of his credentials. I just see the Saints being a little too strong all round.

The Dallas Cowboys have one of the best defences in football and while they only have 12 sacks on the season so far you would think they would do a huge increase in that number against a New York Jets side who can’t protect their quarterback for love nor money. That is reflected in their record this season where they remain winless from four matches and I’m not convinced anything is going to change in that regard. Dallas are balanced enough on offense to get the job done however they need to do it and I expect them to cover a touchdown on the road against a Jets side averaging less than 10pts per match.
