NFL 2021 – Week 15 Sunday Early Games Tips and Betting Preview

As ever the majority of the matches in an NFL week comes along on the Sunday afternoon and this week we have nine games to enjoy in the two regular kick off slots as we career towards the end of the regular season.

The usual slate of televised games are on offer for us on this side of the pond with two tasty live games to enjoy and then the key moments in all the others either on the TV coverage or Red Zone. Some matches are also available on the bookmaker streams.

1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)

The playoff race in the AFC is the order of the day in the first televised match as the Pittsburgh Steelers play hosts to the Tennessee Titans. The Titans saw the Colts close in on them on Saturday night and will look to restore their two game advantage at the top of the AFC South here. The Steelers trail a faltering Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North but a win for the Pittsburgh outfit could pile the pressure on the Ravens later in the day.

Five other matches take place in this kick off slot of which three of them are divisional matches. The two worst sides in the AFC South meet when the Jacksonville Jaguars begin life without Urban Meyer when they host the Houston Texans while over in the NFC East the New York Giants host the leaders Dallas Cowboys. In the AFC East the Miami Dolphins welcome the New York Jets. Of the two other matches the best team in the NFL meet the worst team when the Arizona Cardinals travel to the Detroit Lions while the Buffalo Bills will look to find a win when they take on take on the Carolina Panthers.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)

There are just the three matches in the later kick off slots and the televised game for us to enjoy in the UK sees two division leaders battling it out when the AFC South leaders Baltimore Ravens look to snap a two match losing streak when they host the NFC North leaders Green Bay Packers. The Packers head to Maryland knowing full well that if they find a win they will sew up the division with three matches to spare and would remain in pole position for the number two seed in the Conference at the very least.

Two other matches take place in the later slot with two sides who are deep in the AFC wildcard mix battling it out in one of them when the Denver Broncos welcome the Cincinnati Bengals. A win for the Bengals could see them end the night level with the Baltimore Ravens at the top of their division while the Broncos will clinging onto those around them with a win. The other match sees the San Francisco 49ers keeping up their hopes of a wildcard spot in the NFC when they welcome the Atlanta Falcons to Levi’s Stadium.

Betting

I’ll go with the one bet over the course of the night which comes in the second of the two TV matches when the Green Bay Packers travel to the Baltimore Ravens in a match I expect the Packers to dominate with the news that Lamar Jackson is unlikely to start being bandied around. That means Tyler Huntley will start and he is going to have a lot of pressure on his shoulders to keep up with a Green Bay offense which has the potential to run riot against a Baltimore defence which is ravaged by injuries.

In fact, Baltimore have injury issues throughout their side so whether they do it on the ground or more likely through the precision passing of Aaron Rodgers in the air, the Packers are likely to score at will in this match. To be fair to Baltimore, they have been competitive in the last two weeks even with this bashed up defence but Aaron Rodgers is a huge increase in level on Baker Mayfield and Ben Roethlisberger and I expect him to lead the Packers to a huge win to secure the NFC North title.
