The first of three rounds of matches in the Premier League this week concludes on Sunday afternoon when the other five fixtures take place on a day where the most likely two title challengers are in action as well as a number of other teams looking for high finishes this term.
Of the five matches that take place on Sunday, two of them are included in the Super Sunday programme on Sky Sports and I would imagine updates on the other three will come fairly regularly during that show too.
Sunday’s fixtures are as follows: (2pm unless stated; UK TV in brackets)
Brentford vs Everton (Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)
Burnley vs Tottenham Hotspur
Leicester City vs Watford
Manchester City vs West Ham United
Chelsea vs Manchester United (4.30pm – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)

The two matches live on the TV on Sunday both come from the capital where we begin with two out of form sides in action when Brentford look to get their season back on track after a promising start when they host an Everton team who are still carrying plenty of injuries. Once they are done the attention will move over to Stamford Bridge where the leaders going into the weekend are in action when Chelsea host a Manchester United side reeling from their shambles at Vicarage Road last week.
Three other matches take place over the course of the afternoon with Manchester City looking to keep pace with Chelsea and Liverpool at the top of the table. They host a West Ham United outfit who have become very difficult to beat recently. One team who are looking to get back to being hard to beat are Burnley. They welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Turf Moor. Antonio Conte will be looking for a reaction from his charges after some harsh words following the embarrassing midweek loss in Europe. Leicester City host their title winning manager Claudio Ranieri and his Watford side at the King Power Stadium in the other match.
Betting
I’m not a fan of backing out of form sides but I believe Brentford are going to get back to winning ways again soon. They should have won at St James’ Park last week and although they lost to Norwich in the match before, if they had any composure in front of goal they would have won that going away, so while not winning either of those matches isn’t good, I don’t think their performances have necessarily been as bad as one point in five games would make out.
Everton only have one more point from their last six matches and while injuries have been a reason for their recent struggles there is no guarantee they have anyone back here while Richarlison and Mason Holgate are both suspended. It will be interesting to see how focused Everton are on this match with a much bigger match to come on Wednesday night and if there are any doubts over the likes of Doucore and Gray they will surely be saved for that match. Brentford’s defence hasn’t been good since David Raya picked up his injury but against a side missing a lot of attacking output I fancy the Bees to outscore the Toffees in this one.
