Premier League Darts 2025 – Night 10 Tips and Betting Preview

We are moving towards the home straight in the Premier League Darts season and we get closer to that when the eight players head to Manchester for week 10 of the competition on Thursday with points and pounds up for grabs once again.

The league table is beginning to take the sort of shape that we would expect going towards finals night but a couple of surprises last week has seen it tighten up in behind the top two so there is plenty to play for in Manchester.

Chris Dobey vs Michael van Gerwen

The opening quarter final of the night sees the man who caused the biggest upset of the lot last week in Chris Dobey taking on the player who was unable to appear in Berlin in the form of Michael van Gerwen.

A freak injury put paid to the Dutchman last Thursday and he withdrew from the European Tour event over the weekend too. He did return in the Players Championship events earlier in the week but lost in the first round of both without impressing on either occasion so MVG is still carrying that neck issue by the looks of it. That should open up the chance for Dobey to see off a big name to make the semi-final for the second week in a row after he took care of Luke Littler in this round last week. The scoring power of Dobey has been there for all to see this term and if he can start hitting doubles solidly, which he will do as confidence grows, then you would think that he will have too much for an injured looking MVG here. I’m more than happy to take Dobey at odds against.

Nathan Aspinall vs Rob Cross

Another man who has missed a tournament recently is in action in the second of the quarter finals as Rob Cross goes up against the player who has suddenly caught fire in the form of Nathan Aspinall in what is a big match in the table.

These two men are the two immediately outside the top four in the overall table and were van Gerwen to lose earlier in the night then one of these two could end the evening in the play-off spots so this feels like a key game in the entire season. Cross pulled out of the European Tour event at the weekend with an illness and withdrew from the Players Championship tournaments as well and although he has posted on social media that he feels much better I think he has to be vulnerable here. Aspinall is in great form. He won a European Tour event recently and made the final at the weekend and at some point that is going to extend into the Premier League and being a local lad it could easily be here. Aspinall should get plenty of crowd support here and although he lost to Stephen Bunting last week I think he is value to come good here. Aspinall has won both Premier League meetings between these two this season and the last seven in total so regardless of the circumstances odds against on the former Matchplay champion looks a big price.

Luke Littler vs Gerwyn Price

We move into the bottom half of the draw with potentially the most intriguing of the quarter finals as the other local lad on show on the night, Luke Littler, looks to get the better of Gerwyn Price and put a terrible record against the Welshman behind him.

Littler was beaten in the quarter final last week where he had a bit of a mare on his doubles and he’ll be eager to bounce back here. Price won a Players Championship tournament earlier in the week to confirm that he is in decent touch and he looks as confident facing Littler as anyone in the game right now. That run, which now stands at six wins on the trot for Price, will end at some point and it might be that here is when it does because Littler is going to get a barrel load of home support here and I would imagine he has the competitiveness about him that he’ll want to finally put Price in his place. That would be what I expect to happen but if Price is given an even crack at this he has shown he can handle Littler. I wouldn’t put anyone off taking Price at 2/1. It is a big price but this is probably one venue I’m happy to let him win if he is good enough.

Stephen Bunting vs Luke Humphries

The most intriguing of the quarter finals on Thursday night could be the last one to take to the stage as a buoyant Stephen Bunting goes up against the second placed overall Luke Humphries in another key contest in the campaign.

Bunting finally got off the mark for the Premier League season last week and went all the way to win the night and then built on that to win the European Tour event over the weekend so he will be arriving here feeling about as good about himself as he has in a long while. Humphries got involved in a bit of controversy over the weekend when he opened up to being burnt out a bit and it will be interesting to see how he goes about his business here. Bunting beat Humphries in the semi-final in Berlin last week and at the same stage of the European Tour event so he certainly knows that he can beat the world number one and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if the Bullet was to complete a quick hat trick against Humphries but I’ve just got this feeling that we might see something big from the Winmau World Masters champion after the weekend so I’ll sit this one out.

Night 10 Betting

We have one of those nights where the two Lukes are in the same half of the draw this week which always makes me excited to get involved in the nightly winner market. We have four players in the other half of the draw who will know there is a great chance of making the final and if the shocks in the bottom half come along then they could even have a good shot at winning the night and picking up all the rewards which come with it.

I’m going to leave the injured two out of my thinking here and I have this between Chris Dobey and Nathan Aspinall. Dobey is the bigger price to win the night but Aspinall won their only previous meeting in the Premier League this term and he has won the last five between the two in total and 10 of the 11 matches they have played in all. I’m not sure if Aspinall has the easier of the quarter finals between the two but it is certainly a winnable one and with home support behind him I think the 12/1 on him to win the week looks good value to me.
