Another weekend in the Sky Bet Championship gets underway at Carrow Road on Friday night when the ante-post title favourites Norwich City play host to a Millwall side who many thought would be dark horses this term.
Norwich finally got off the mark in the winning department on Tuesday evening and will look for a second victory in quick succession. Millwall have started the campaign very encouragingly and don’t have a lot to lose here.

The match will be shown live and in full on the Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football channels with the build-up beginning at 7.30pm and kick off in Norfolk coming at 8pm.
Norwich City
After a pretty dreadful season last time around, which resulted in a pretty tame relegation, the last thing Norwich City needed was to fail to win any of their opening three matches this term. .They have got off the mark now though so any questions which were beginning to be written about them can at least be put in the saved folder for a while. Just because they have won a match though doesn’t mean that Norwich can afford to coast in this game.
To be fair to the Canaries, they didn’t play badly in those three winless games to open up with, they just didn’t take their chances and let teams hang around and as is so often the case when you let teams hang around they punish you, especially in this division. Despite some key injuries on Tuesday evening Norwich overcame Huddersfield and you sense their season is about to kick into life. A failure to win this match will cut that win in half so Norwich should come out all guns blazing here.
Millwall
There was a fair amount of optimism around Millwall heading into the season, which on the face of it was a little strange given that they had lost one of their best players, if not their best, in Jed Wallace at the end of last season. All those who believed in Millwall could be being proven right though as Gary Rowett’s men have started the season positively and could move to the top of the table overnight if they can win here.
Millwall have a couple of wins, a draw and a defeat from their opening four matches. You could argue four of those points were fortunate in that they came from two down to beat Coventry 3-2 and two down to draw 2-2 with Swansea with the Welsh side scoring both the goals for them, but I doubt anyone at The New Den will care about that. Millwall are scoring goals which is encouraging and if they can stop conceding so many they’ll be in the mix.

Team News
Dean Smith has a few problems at left-back where Sam McCallum and Jacob Sorensen are out with injury and Dimitris Giannoulis is likely to be out as well. He did give more positive news regarding his striker Teemu Pukki however.
Mason Bennett is going to miss this match for Millwall while Tom Bradshaw is another who will be on the treatment table for this outing. Gary Rowett has reported no new injury concerns from the draw with Swansea however.
Betting
I think we are going to see goals in this match. Norwich City showed more attacking intent in midweek and I expect that win to be the turning point in their season but while they looked better in attacking areas they still look a little fragile defensively, as they have done ever since Dean Smith took over at Carrow Road and you would imagine Millwall and their direct style are the team to expose those weaknesses, especially at set-pieces.
Millwall actually are starting to play more football these days which is welcome but you would have to think that if they are going to get involved in a game of football with Norwich they are going to come out unstuck. We’ve seen on two occasions this term that the Londoners don’t give in so even when they look beaten they will have more to offer. The goal line for this one is only 2.25 which feels a little low given how both teams are scoring but also conceding. I like the over here.
