The World Cup is getting ever closer and to compensate for that we have another midweek round of action in place in the Sky Bet Championship, which gets underway with half of the division in action across the course of Tuesday evening.
Two of the six matches will be available on the main TV channels which cover this league on Tuesday evening and the other four are all on offer on the red button service for those who have that facility so if you have a bet there are ways to watch its progress.
Tuesday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off & TV in brackets)
Huddersfield Town v Preston North End (7.45pm)
Norwich City v Luton Town (7.45pm)
Swansea City v Reading (7.45pm)
Blackburn Rovers v Sunderland (8pm – Sky Main Event & Sky Football)
Stoke City v Rotherham United (8pm – Sky Sports Arena)
West Bromwich Albion v Bristol City (8pm)

Preview
The two TV games are both slightly later to kick off with the main focus being on Ewood Park as Tony Mowbray returns for the first time since he left at the end of last season when he takes his Sunderland side to take on Blackburn Rovers who begin the evening in fifth place but could end it top of the table. The other televised offering comes from the Bet365 Stadium where Stoke City go in search of a third win on the bounce when they entertain a Rotherham United who are stuttering a little since Paul Warne left them to go to Derby.
Norwich City are the highest placed team on show on Tuesday evening. They start the night in third place in the table and host promotion chasing Luton Town at Carrow Road. A Norwich win will send them top but their opponents will overtake them if they win so there is plenty on the line in that one. Swansea City and Reading are in and around the top six and they meet in a key game on Tuesday while at the other end of the table Huddersfield Town host Preston North End and West Bromwich Albion meet Bristol City.
Betting
Two sides who rarely keep clean sheets meet in Wales on Tuesday evening when Swansea City play host to Reading in a match I expect to see goals in. We pretty much know how this one is going to play out. Swansea will have most of the ball and Reading will look to hit them on the counterattack. The key to the outcome of the game is whether the Reading defence can hold firm despite not seeing too much of the ball.
They have lost their last two matches and confidence might just be eroding a touch. Swansea took a bit of a beating at Burnley at the weekend and now have just two clean sheets in 11 which is quite a surprise given how much of the ball they see. Reading only have one clean sheet in eight but both teams have goals in them so this should be an entertaining game and if there is an early goal this could ignite nicely. Both teams have shipped 20 goals in 14 games this term. Reading games average exactly 2.5 goals per match while Swansea are slightly over that. Those trends can be maintained here.
