The Sky Bet Championship weekend concludes on Sunday afternoon when two sides who missed out on the play-offs by a whisker last season meet at Carrow Road where Norwich City welcome Millwall in another top game.
Both teams have made acceptable starts to their season and now they will be looking to pick up a win which will elevate them right up the table and give them a platform to go big from. We are setup for a good game.
Where to watch
The match will be shown live and in full on the Sky Football channel. The build-up at Carrow Road begins at 11.30am ahead of a 12 noon kick off.
Norwich City
It is rare to see Norwich City embarking on a second straight season in the Championship these days but that is what they are having to endure. To be fair to the Canaries, they have made a bright start with a win and a crazy 4-4 draw with Southampton last weekend, where they were out in front until deep into injury time. They bounced back from that disappointment with a late win of their own in the cup in midweek so Norwich are ticking along ok.
The Canaries look like they are trending in the right direction when it comes to their attacking play but the obvious concern comes in the form of their defence. You would probably be forgiven for thinking it would be the other way around for a team managed by David Wagner but that isn’t the case. If Norwich do improve defensively though then there is every chance that they will be much more heavily involved in the promotion shake up than they were last season.
Millwall
In a lot of ways it was heart-breaking how Millwall missed out on the top six last season, even though they only had themselves to blame. There just seems to be a permanent lock on that particular door for Millwall and it doesn’t seem to matter which key they try it just won’t open for them. They can only keep progressing though and hoping that eventually things fall for them when it really matters and they can break into that elite band.
The Lions have started the season well. They went to Middlesbrough on the opening week of the campaign and picked up a win but then showed their inconsistent side again when they slipped up at home to Bristol City last week. They will be looking to find a little bit more consistency but there is enough to suggest that they are better suited to playing on the road than at home at present. That needs to balance out if they are to achieve their top six aim but it is still early days in that regard.

Team News
David Wagner not surprisingly rested a number of his starters for the trip to Loftus Road in the Carabao Cup in midweek and he will recall his best XI for this encounter. Jonathan Rowe will be looking to start this one.
Millwall have lacked goals in their opening two matches which might mean that they go back to Tom Bradshaw who surprisingly hasn’t started either game so far in the Championship. Kevin Nisbet could be the one to drop out.
Betting
I find this one a difficult match to call in terms of the winner because Millwall have a lack of goals in them at the minute but this Norwich City defence hasn’t pulled up any trees at all so far this season and could easily be exposed. I guess home advantage counts for something so I would probably edge towards the Canaries if I had to pick a team to win but I think the better bet lies in one of the other markets for the game.
That market is the both teams to score one where the 4/5 on that happening looks decent to me. Norwich are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league and do look vulnerable both to set plays and to skilful players like Zian Flemming in open play. Millwall might have lacked goals this season but that isn’t down to a lack of attacking talent on the pitch. There is no shortage of it in the Norwich ranks either so the both teams to score option looks good to me.
