There is one match in the Sky Bet Championship prior to Easter and it comes along on Monday as Hull City welcome Coventry City to the MKM Stadium for what is a massive game at both ends of the second tier table.
Coventry will move back up to fifth if they are able to come out on top in the match while Hull will be looking for the three points to ease any relegation nerves which are seriously beginning to build on Humberside so this should be a cracking match.
Where to watch
The match will be shown live and in full on the Sky Sports Football channel with the build-up to this one beginning at 7.30pm ahead of the 8pm kick off.
Hull City
This quite clearly hasn’t been the season that Hull City would have wanted. When they disposed of the services of Liam Rosenior after narrowly missing out on the play-offs last season they would have been expecting to kick off and make it into the top six but they are in danger of exiting the division in the wrong direction. After the weekend results, Hull are just two points from the relegation zone but a win here would move them five clear with just 12 left to play for.
That makes this a huge night for Hull but they won’t need me to point out to them that their home form is one of the reasons why they are in the mess that they are in. While they have improved under Ruben Selles, especially away from home, they have only won three home matches under him and over the course of the campaign no team in the Championship have won fewer points in front of their home fans. That is a cause for concern heading into this match.
Coventry City
This has been a bit of a crazy season for Coventry City. I wouldn’t have thought too many would have thought at the start of the campaign that they would have axed Mark Robins and maybe even fewer would have had the thinking that in doing so they would go on a crazy run which took them from the bottom six to the top six in such a short space of time. That is what Frank Lampard and his coaching staff have been able to achieve though, however they will be aware that the job isn’t completed yet.
The good thing about this Sky Blues side under the former England star is that they go to the end and they are decent enough at holding their nerve. They have scored a couple of late winners recently which has allowed them to continue the momentum that they have built going. Coventry have lost three of their last five matches, although two of those were against Burnley and Sheffield United so we should probably ignore those and focus on the fact that they have won 11 of their last 15 matches.

Team News
Ruben Selles has confirmed that Gustavo Puerta is back available for this match after he was forced to miss the defeat to Watford last weekend. He is added to the same squad with Cody Drameh left out on selection grounds rather than injury ones.
Coventry boss Frank Lampard is going to need to make a change to his XI from the win over Portsmouth last week with Victor Torp having been stretchered off in that match. Ben Sheaf is favourite to replace him while Jamie Paterson will be pushing for a start after his winning goal off the bench in that game.
Betting
It is so hard to ignore that home record of Hull City. I was there a couple of weeks ago watching my own team win there and everything from the home side just felt flat, before the game, during it on the pitch and after it when we left. It was very strange and it looks like that isn’t helping the players so I have to take the home side on here. There is a part of me that wants to take Coventry City on the nose but they are in the play-off places so a point wouldn’t be a disaster of a result.
Coventry lost to Derby County on their travels not too long ago but that aside their only three defeats in their last 15 matches have been against the top three in the table. That loss to Derby doesn’t look the disaster that it did at the time either. Coventry have plenty of options in forward areas and quality ones at that and that was where Hull looked lightest against Luton a few weeks ago. With a perfectly acceptable price on a draw no bet Asian line I think the visitors have to be the bet here.
