Skybet League 2 – Tuesday 7th February Matches Betting Preview

There are two matches in Skybet League 2 on Tuesday night as four sides look to make up matches in hand with those around them. Whenever sides are playing catch up you get the feel they are bigger games than they might have been when originally scheduled and three points would do wonders for their league position.

Blackpool vs Crawley

Two sides lower than they would like to be in the table meet in at Bloomfield Road when Blackpool entertain Crawley. It has been an indifferent run of matches for both these sides and this is a chance to get back on the horse and begin a climb up the table.

Blackpool are the odds on favourites here but with one win in seven matches and that only being against a slumping Hartlepool side I’m not sure I can trust them. That said Crawley have only won two of their last six with one of them being against the aforementioned Hartlepool and they have the worst away record in the league so I don’t really trust them either. That means this one a no bet proposition.

Leyton Orient vs Morecambe

Two sides struggling at the wrong end of the table meet in a massive match for both sides at Brisbane Road when Leyton Orient host Morecambe. The general consensus is that both of these teams will be fine in terms of safety but they need to prove that is the case.

Orient go into this fixture in wretched form. They have lost their last five and won just one of their last eight and are statistically the worst side in the league on their own patch with just ten points from a possible 45.

Morecambe’s off field issues have been well documented but as is so often the case it looks to have galvanised them because they head into this match undefeated in four matches which includes draw against two of the top three in the table in their last two matches.

Morecambe have generally been okay on the road this season whereas Orient have been wretched at home. There is no sign of that changing any time soon and when you think leading scorer Paul McCallum is out injured and the next one Ollie Palmer has gone to Luton a lack of goals could be their undoing.
