There are two matches in League Two on Tuesday night as four sides try and catch up with the rest of the table in games played ahead of the break for the FA Cup at the weekend.
Wycombe are the highest placed side in action on Tuesday. They head south to face Bristol Rovers while Dagenham and Redbridge make the long trip north to face a Morecambe side who are plummeting fast.
Wycombe have had their wobble a bit earlier this season than last but they have come out of that now and I fancy them to get something at Rovers. Bristol Rovers are a weird side. They are excellent on the road but don’t get anything like the same results at home which has to be a concern for Darrell Clarke and his men.
As they so often do Wycombe have gone cap in hand to Brentford and been handed a couple of loanees to boost the quality in their squad. Wycombe got a creditable home draw with Portsmouth at the weekend and like their opponents here they are also better on the road. Wycombe are so good on the road a win here wouldn’t be out of the question but with a nice +0.25 Asian line even a draw will suit us.
Dagenham & Redbridge will face Morecambe for the third time in a month having done battle over an FA Cup first round tie which went to a replay and in that replay Wayne Burnett’s side went to the coast and knocked Morecambe off 4-2.
Since then it has gone wrong for Jim Bentley’s men. They haven’t won since then and have conceded four times in each of their last two matches. Although they ended up losing 4-3 at Stevenage on Saturday they were 4-1 down until they got a couple of late consolations so the scoreline flattered them.
Having struggled quite badly in the early stages of the season that win over Morecambe seems to have done the trick for Dagenham. They have got a good draw with Plymouth at the weekend in a match they led for long periods in and beat AFC Wimbledon. They almost held Oxford too and you get the feeling they are going the better of these two right now.
With that in mind I’m happy to take the +0.5 Asian line on the visitors which gives us a full win on the draw which is a very handy line to have.
