There are four matches in the Super League on Friday evening as the season continues and after the excitement of the Magic Weekend there is a dose of normality about proceedings which will assist some but maybe not others.
We have one match on the TV on Friday night which is the big one at the Halliwell Jones Stadium and then there are various other ways of keeping up to date with the other three matches as they go along.
Friday’s fixtures are as follows:
Warrington Wolves vs Hull FC (19.45)
Hull KR vs Wigan Warriors (20.00)
Salford Red Devils vs Huddersfield Giants (20.00)
Widnes Vikings vs Wakefield Trinity (20.00)
Preview
The TV game is the match between the Warrington Wolves, who will be looking to bounce back from their hefty defeat to the Wigan Warriors at the Magic Weekend, and Hull FC who are absolutely ravaged by injury. Wigan will be looking to build on that win themselves when they take on the other Hull outfit, Hull KR, who like their city rivals are battered by injuries at the minute.
Salford Red Devils had a disappointing defeat at the Magic Weekend and they will be looking to make up for that when they host a Huddersfield Giants side who picked up a third straight win in Newcastle last weekend. The other match sees the Widnes Vikings hosting the Wakefield Trinity side.

Betting
I’m going with two bets over the course of the evening. It is hard to see how Hull FC stay close to the Warrington Wolves and as a result I’m happy to take the home side to bounce back from the disappointment of last week with an emphatic win here. Almost all of the Hull FC back line are out injured and a couple of key forwards will be missing too and that is not an ideal combination with which to take on the Wolves. Warrington were rampant prior to last week but away from the hustle and bustle of the Magic Weekend and in home conditions I expect them to cover 14pts.
I was impressed with the Huddersfield Giants for the most part last weekend. I can’t say the same about the Salford Red Devils so I’m going to take the visitors in the match at the AJ Bell Stadium. Salford have issues off the pitch which we know about but they look to have a few concerns on the pitch too. Huddersfield have had their problems earlier in the campaign but they look to be finding a nice groove right now and I fancy they can pick up the win here.
