The last round of matches in the regular Super League season continues on Friday night when there are four fixtures on the schedule. We already know who the top eight will be and who will be battling in the qualifiers so places within the top eight are all that is on the line here.
There are a couple of derbies in among the fixtures with one of those being on TV while there is enough to like about the other games to make for a decent enough evening of rugby league.
Friday’s fixtures are as follows:
Huddersfield Giants vs Wakefield Trinity (19.45)
Hull FC vs Hull KR (19.45)
Salford Red Devils vs Leeds Rhinos (20.00)
Wigan Warriors vs Catalans Dragons (20.00)
Preview
The TV game comes from the KCOM Stadium where the two sides of Hull meet in a derby which might not have anything at stake in terms of league position but losing this match in particular is a no go. Elsewhere Wigan Warriors will look to confirm second spot at the end of the regular season when they host the Catalans Dragons. They will do that if they win and Castleford lose on Sunday. Salford Red Devils host the Leeds Rhinos in a match between two sides who are preparing for the qualifiers while bragging rights is all that appears to be at stake for Huddersfield Giants and Wakefield Trinity when they meet.

Betting
There is only one match which interests me from a betting point of view and it is the TV game where we can be sure two sides will be all out to win the match. Hull FC are sure to come out and deliver a performance here after their humiliating defeat last week while Hull KR will be eyeing up a confidence boost ahead of the Super 8s. Todd Carney could make his debut for the Robins and he can open up a Black and Whites defence that was exposed badly last week. FC should go in at the other end though so over 42.5pts looks decent enough to me especially with both previous meetings having already sailed over that mark.
Tips
Back Hull FC vs Hull KR – Over 42.5pts for a 4/10 stake at 1.91 with Bet365
