There are two more matches in the Super League on Saturday with the beauty of them being that both of them are live on TV for us to enjoy throughout the afternoon and into the early evening. They are big matches too.
We have the beaten finalists from last year on show along with the Challenge Cup winners and a couple of sides who need victories so this should be a decent few hours of rugby league.
Castleford Tigers vs Hull FC
Two of the best sides in Super League meet at The Jungle as a Castleford Tigers side host a Hull FC team who are recovering from their globetrotting of recent times. Both sides have a win and a loss in the Super League so far.
The Tigers picked up their win at home to the Widnes Vikings last time out but they looked anything but convincing in the match and will need a massive improvement on that to get back to where they were at the beginning of the season. Hull FC won well against the Huddersfield Giants in the opening week of the campaign but lost to Wigan Warriors down under.
Castleford aren’t playing well enough for me to take them to cover eight points just yet but Hull FC are recovering from their exertions in Australia and have injuries and illnesses holding them back which is far from ideal. I’ll leave this one alone.

Catalans Dragons vs Wakefield Trinity
The second match of the day sees the Catalans Dragons who are without a win from their three matches taking on a Wakefield Trinity side who have opened up their campaign with a couple of victories.
On the form shown so far this season you would have to say that Wakefield are good things here but we shouldn’t forget how strong Catalans Dragons can be in France and how tough they remain to beat there. Although St Helens beat them in France a couple of weeks ago it was much the strongest effort the Dragons have put up so far.
I do respect the Wakefield side in this match but since Catalans lost to St Helens they have got Tony Gigot back while Sam Moa and Michael McIlorum among others return for them here. This should be the strongest Catalans have been so far in the tournament and I’ll chance them at odds against as a result in a match they really need to win.
