The Super League campaign continues on Friday night when two matches take place which will give us more of an indication as to how the final table will look come the end of what is becoming an intriguing season.
One of the two matches will be live on the TV for us to enjoy over the course of the evening, while the other one kicks off at a similar time so I would imagine there will be a number of updates on the game throughout the coverage.
Wigan Warriors vs Warrington Wolves (20.00 – Sky Sports Action)
The televised match on Friday night comes from the DW Stadium where two sides who would have been expecting to compete for spots in the Grand Final meet when the Wigan Warriors host the Warrington Wolves.
Only one of these teams will be in line for a shot at the Grand Final and that is a Wigan side who could have a chance to put some pressure on St Helens in the race for top spot if they can come up with a win here. Warrington are suddenly battling to avoid getting sucked into a relegation fight so there is plenty on this one for them as they look to get something out of what has been a wretched season. In truth they are a club going absolutely nowhere and you sense a major fallout can’t be too far away. I expect Wigan to win this match but whether they cover 14 points is a different question. Warrington can’t seem to defend at the minute so I wouldn’t be surprised if they do cover but the Wolves do have points in them which makes me think the better bet here could be on over 46.5 points, something which was cleared earlier in the reverse meeting when Wigan won 40-22.

Huddersfield Giants vs Hull FC (19.45)
The other match on Friday night comes from the John Smith’s Stadium where the Huddersfield Giants will look to keep up their pursuit of the top two when they host a Hull FC side who are looking to get back in the top six despite an indifferent campaign.
Injuries have killed Hull FC and they are basically playing half of a new squad made up of loan players and youngsters while plenty are playing out of position but they did win in Toulouse last week so they do have some positive form behind them. Huddersfield also won last week and now have Leroy Cudjoe and Tui Lolohea back for this match so they should be on top form. If they are then I expect the relentless nature of the Giants to be too much for Hull FC but a Hull side with Jake Connor in it shouldn’t be underestimated and there is a feel of a banana skin match about this one. I’ve been on a good run recently but I’m happy to leave this one alone.
