UEFA Nations League 2022-23 – Tuesday 14th June Matches Tips and Betting Preview

The UEFA Nations League is on show for the final time this season on Tuesday evening when the groups yet to play out their fourth matchday do so on a night which carries plenty of significance for a number of teams in action.

England are one of those teams as they currently occupy the relegation spot in their section but there are plenty of others. England aren’t the only Home Nations team on show either so there is much to enjoy.

League A

Two groups are on show in the top tier on Tuesday evening and the pick of the matches sees Germany taking on Italy in a serious heavyweight clash. The winner of that could well end the international break on top of the table because the other match sees England playing host to Hungary in a game that Gareth Southgate’s men can’t afford to lose. The other group in action is A4 where the Netherlands can put themselves on the brink of a semi-final place when they host a Wales side who will be staring relegation in the face if they can’t find a result. The other match sees Poland taking on Belgium knowing they were beaten 6-1 when the two sides met last week.

League B

There are two groups on show in the second tier on Tuesday evening as well. B1 is one of them which means that Ukraine will get the chance to open up a gap at the top of the table when they take on a dismal Republic of Ireland side. The early kick off in this section sees Armenia hosting Scotland with both sides needing a win to keep up with Ukraine. B3 is the other group which is very tight going into this set of matches. Bosnia and Herzegovina and Finland are the top two in the group and they meet in one match while Romania host Montenegro in the other one.

Leagues C + D

Turkey will look to continue to blaze a trail in group C1 on Tuesday evening. They host a Lithuania side who were torn apart when the two met last week and who could be cannon fodder once again here. Luxembourg are the only team in this section capable of putting up a challenge to Turkey and if they are going to do that then they need to beat the Faroe Islands. Elsewhere Moldova host Andorra and Liechtenstein welcome Latvia in the other group which is on show. Those matches come along in D1.

Betting

Luxembourg did us a turn in the reverse evening of these fixtures last week and I’m happy to take them again here. They won 1-0 when we were on them to win in the Faroe Islands last week and I think they can get the job done a little more comfortably on Tuesday evening. To be fair to the Islanders, they responded to their loss against Luxembourg last week with a win over Lithuania on Saturday night but I don’t think that result says a huge amount when you consider that Lithuania have only scored the one goal in this group, a goal which came against the Faroes.

Turkey are the only team to score against Luxembourg in this campaign but to be fair to Luxembourg they weren’t torn apart from a Turkey team who are far too good for this section. I think they will get back to winning ways here. I’ve mentioned in their last two matches how they are building up a bank of players from some decent leagues in Europe and they’ll be a team to look out for at this level of the Nations League for as long as they are in it. Ignore the Turkey result because they are in a section way below their ability. Luxembourg are the better of these two teams and can show that here.
