UEFA Nations League 2024-25 – Thursday 14th November Matches Tips and Betting Preview

The last international break of 2024 begins on Thursday evening when the penultimate set of matches in the UEFA Nations League get underway with eight matches taking place across the various groups.

It is a night where the likes of France and Italy will be looking to book their spots in the quarter finals while other leading nations such as Belgium, England and countries such as Norway and Ireland will all be on show.

League A

We only have the one group on show in League A on Thursday evening and that is Group 2 where Italy and France are in control of their own destinies. Italy lead the way in the group and need just a point when they make the trip to Belgium to secure their spot in the quarter finals. Belgium have to win that match if they want to avoid being in a relegation play-off. France will also be through to the quarter finals if they can come out on top when they play host to Israel, who are all but guaranteed to finish bottom in this group and return to League B.

League B

There are two groups with action taking place in them on Thursday. One of those is Group 2 where the top two meet in the match which could decide the automatic promotion race. Greece are currently in front having beaten England earlier in the competition and if they can win their battle in Athens they will be playing in the top flight next time around. A draw will see Greece needing just a point in their last game but an England win opens it right up heading into the closing games on Sunday. The other match comes from Dublin where Ireland will ensure a relegation play-off if they can beat Finland. The visitors must win to avoid relegation to the third tier. Group 3 is the other group on show. Austria look to have the easier chance to pick up three points when they travel to Kazakhstan who have been out of their depth at this level. The other match sees Slovenia hosting Norway where the winners will be favourites to push for promotion.

League C

There is only one of the groups in League C taking place on Thursday night but it could be a special evening for North Macedonia as they look to sew up the promotion spot in Group 4. They need just a point from their home match against Latvia to guarantee promotion but Latvia are battling for at least a promotion play-off spot. Armenia are currently in control of that position in the table and they will be looking to maintain their grip on that heading into the final set of matches when they host bottom of the table Faroe Islands.

Betting

North Macedonia have had a great time of it in this group and they look good things to wrap up the promotion spot in style when a Latvia side who aren’t as strong arrive in Skopje. Latvia have improved in recent times but they are still not at the level where you need to be to be as competitive as they would want to be in League C and they will arrive in Skopje having failed to win any of their last 10 games on their travels and were thrashed 4-1 in Armenia earlier in this group.

North Macedonia started the group a little slowly with a draw against the Faroe Islands but since then they have won three matches on the spin and haven’t conceded a goal in any of them. North Macedonia rarely lose at home with just one loss in their last eight on home soil and that includes matches against England and Italy, neither of whom won in that time. North Macedonia are odds against on the -1 Asian line and that feels like a good bet here.
