The final night of action in the UEFA Nations League for this international break takes place on Tuesday evening when the second match day of the new season concludes with some promising looking matches around the continent.
England will be the primary focus among the Home Nations while two footballing powerhouses meet in the top flight on a night which should deliver plenty of decent football as all of the group tables start to take shape.
League A
There is just the one group on show on Tuesday night in Group A but it contains comfortably the pick of the matches as the Euro 2024 semi-finalists Netherlands play host to the nation that staged that tournament in Germany in a match which will revoke plenty of memories of their battles in the past. Both sides won their opening match so the winners here will take control of the group. Hungary were well beaten by Germany on Saturday evening and they’ll be looking to bounce back when they host Bosnia and Herzegovina.
League B
We have two groups of League B action on Tuesday evening beginning with a very competitive looking Group 1 where the two winners from the opening night meet as Albania host Georgia in what is likely to be a feisty affair. Czechia and Ukraine were beaten in the first match and they meet knowing they can’t afford a second defeat if they want to keep things within their own hands for the next two international breaks. England took control of Group 2 on Saturday afternoon and will look to move clear when they host Finland at Wembley while Greece will make the trip to Dublin looking to build on a solid win over the Finns on Saturday.

Leagues C+D
There is only one group on show in League C on Tuesday evening and it actually gets the night of football underway when Latvia play host to the Faroe Islands in Group 4. Faroe Islands picked up a draw at the weekend and a win here will have them in good shape. Armenia were the only winners in this group on Saturday and they can go clear at the top if they can go to North Macedonia and win. There is also one match in League D which comes from Group 2 where Andorra get their campaign underway when they play host to Malta who were beaten by Moldova in their opening match.
Betting
There isn’t a huge amount that I fancy on Tuesday so after a couple of winners on Monday I’m happy to round off the latest leg of UEFA Nations League matches with the one bet which is for Greece to be Ireland on the draw no bet Asian handicap line. I’m really not convinced by the Republic of Ireland manager. He actually has been weapons at his disposal than Stephen Kelly had for much of his reign but his natural instinct is to make teams hard to beat.
I’m not sure that is going to cut much joy with Ireland because defensively they are not the best and I think Greece can take advantage of that. Greece were only penalties away from making the Euros in the summer but along the way to that shootout, they did the double over Ireland in their qualifying group and go to Dublin off the back of a good 3-0 win over Finland on Saturday evening. Admittedly Ireland went up against England in their opening game but they didn’t offer anything in the match. This looks like a good opportunity for Greece to build on their first win with another here but given they are on the road I’ll take the draw out of the equation.
