It is a big day in the Vitality Blast on Sunday as the final week of the group stage gets underway with seven matches taking place across the two sections as we get closer to finding out who will make it through to the quarter finals of the domestic T20 competition.
There is no TV coverage of any of these matches so if you have a bet on them and want to watch the progress of it then you will need to load up the respective live stream which will be provided by the home county as always.
North Group
We have a full slate of matches scheduled for the North Group but the forecast for that part of the country isn’t the best so it remains to be seen how many games get played. The Birmingham Bears will hope the weather stays good as they will secure a quarter final spot if they beat Derbyshire at Edgbaston. Durham are in pole position for a quarter final spot and they will look to strengthen their claims when they host Northamptonshire for whom the match is must win for the visitors. Leicestershire are currently in fourth spot and they will look to stay there when they host local rivals Nottinghamshire at Grace Road while the other match sees Worcestershire hosting Yorkshire at New Road.

South Group
It is a big day in the South Group where Essex can secure a quarter final spot if they can get the better of Surrey in the pick of the three matches down at Chelmsford. Hampshire have feint hopes of making it through to the quarter finals and if they are going to keep those alive then they have to beat the defending champions Somerset at the Utilita Bowl. The other match comes from Bristol where Gloucestershire will look to remain in the quarter final hunt when they take on a Glamorgan who are just playing out the season from here on in.
Betting
I’m going to leave the North Group alone on Sunday because the weather forecast for that part of the world is either for rain during the match or plenty of rain before the games and so we are unlikely to get full games in so I think it is better to focus on the south. I was tempted by Surrey given that Essex played on Saturday but Surrey are through to the last eight so that might affect their intensity. In the end there is just the one bet for me.
That comes in the match at Bristol where I am expecting the runs to flow between Gloucestershire and Glamorgan. Both these teams have put plenty of runs on the board this season and while Gloucestershire have a decent attack on paper, but it has been going around the park a little too much for my liking recently. Both teams bat pretty deep and with Bristol having not had much cricket in the last three weeks with Gloucestershire spending a couple of weeks in Cheltenham we should have a good pitch for plenty more than 330.5 runs.
