The quarter finals of the World Championship conclude inside the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield on Wednesday with all four matches reaching a conclusion on the day where we determine the four players who will head through to the one-table setup.
Three of the four matches are nicely poised heading into the second day of quarter final action and while the other one has a player holding an advantage there is still time for a turnaround to take place in that too.
Day 11 Recap
Two of the quarter finals have had two sessions of play while the other two had just one session on Tuesday. Dave Gilbert is the man with the biggest lead at the end of Tuesday. He will go into his final session against Stephen Maguire with a 10-6 advantage while the other match which had two sessions on Tuesday is locked at 8-8 as Judd Trump and Jak Jones return to finish on Wednesday morning. It will be a busy day for Ronnie O’Sullivan and Stuart Bingham. They play Wednesday afternoon and evening and begin the day at 4-4 while Kyren Wilson goes into the final two sessions of his match with John Higgins with a 5-3 lead.
In terms of betting on Tuesday there wasn’t a lot doing for us with no matches concluding. We have already lost the handicap before for Judd Trump to beat Jak Jones but going into Wednesday we have Kyren Wilson with the advantage over John Higgins which hopefully he can keep hold of while Ronnie O’Sullivan can still bring in his handicap against Stuart Bingham if he can perform better on Wednesday. Dave Gilbert is flying our outright flag nicely too.

In Play Betting
We have four matches to look at in the in play betting on Wednesday. I’m not really interested in the Dave Gilbert vs Stephen Maguire match because I’m on Gilbert outright and I’m really liking the way he is playing right now. I’m not that interested in the Judd Trump vs Jak Jones match. Jones has played much better than I expected him too and Trump has been awful but surely that doesn’t happen again. I’ve already got a bet running on the Ronnie O’Sullivan vs Stuart Bingham match so it is the other one which catches my eye.
That sees Kyren Wilson taking on John Higgins where the former leads 5-3. I’m already on him to win the match and I’m perfectly happy with my position with that bet but you can get 5/4 on there being more than 5.5 centuries in this match and when you consider there have already been three and Wilson missed out on two more in the 90s, I do think there is the potential for that to cover. There is plenty of mileage left in this match with it already having a look of a match that will be 13-10 or closer about it so we have another 15 frames or more if that is the case. This table looks to be playing nicer to score on than the other one with the other quarter final on this part of the arena having four centuries in their first two sessions. These two are heavy scorers and I see three more tons in this one before it is done.
Tips
Back K.Wilson vs J.Higgins – Over 5.5 centuries for a 3/10 stake at 2.25 with William Hill
