We have another huge day of action in the Premier League on Saturday and it could be the day that the champions are crowned. Events at the bottom will be under the spotlight too in what is likely to be an entertaining afternoon and evening.
In total there are eight matches in the division across the usual three kick off times including the biggest match of the season for those in Liverpool and in Manchester. It is quite a big day for a few others too.
Early Kick Off
The day begins at Goodison Park where Everton will be looking to bring their local rivals Liverpool down a peg or two in the Merseyside Derby. It remains to be seen what sort of side Jurgen Klopp puts out given that the second leg of the Champions League quarter final takes place in midweek. Everton had won their last two before last week and will want to get back to winning ways here.
3pm Matches
Six matches kick off in the traditional 3pm slot with the first of them coming from the Vitality Stadium where Crystal Palace take on a Bournemouth side who are comfortably in mid-table. A Palace win will ease their relegation fears. Huddersfield are another team deep in the mire and they head to Brighton who could be as good as safe if they can pick up a victory. One other side who are not yet safe are Newcastle but that will change if they win at Leicester.
Another team desperate for points to bid to stave off relegation are Stoke City. They host Tottenham in a match they really need to win. Tottenham could move third if Liverpool lose the derby. Two mid-table sides meet at Vicarage Road where Sean Dyche takes his Burnley side to his former club Watford where they could come up against old player Andre Gray. Swansea have a massive chance to pull clear of the bottom three when they head to The Hawthorns to take on a West Brom side who begin life after Alan Pardew.
Late Game
The final match of the day is the one where the champions could be crowned when Manchester City host Manchester United. A City win will move them 19pts clear of their arch-rivals with just six matches remaining. If United lose not only will they have the ignominy of seeing their rivals celebrate winning the title in front of them but they will move down to third place if Liverpool have won earlier in the day.

Betting
I was going to get stuck into the two big matches but that Champions League tie on Tuesday night is likely to affect both of them and it is hard to know which players both teams will put out and which ones they will rest. With that in mind I’ll take just one bet.
It comes in the match at the Amex Stadium where Brighton go up against Huddersfield. Brighton are a solid proposition at home and I expect them to win this match. Brighton won both matches against Huddersfield in the last two seasons in the Championship when they met in Sussex and with Huddersfield really struggling for goals at the present time having not scored in four goals I’m with the Seagulls in this one. Only Leicester, Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool have won at the Amex this season. Huddersfield aren’t in that class and I expect them to be dispatched here.
