Half of the teams in Sky Bet League 2 are in action this midweek with the set of fixtures beginning with five matches on Tuesday night. Events at the top end of the table will be in the spotlight over the course of the evening on what is a big night for those involved.

The big match of the night comes from Kenilworth Road where leaders Luton Town host fourth placed Wycombe Wanderers while two sides looking for the play-off berths meet at Sincil Bank when Lincoln City host FA Cup heroes Newport County. Coventry play host to Cambridge while Stevenage host Swindon Town. The other match sees Yeovil Town hosting Grimsby Town.
Betting
I hate betting this late into the transfer window because all sorts of deals go through at the last minute in this division so I’m largely going to keep my powder dry until the weekend but there is one that I like the look of.
That sees Lincoln City hosting Newport County. I know from the experience of my own side that after a big high in the cup it can be difficult to back that up back in the more mundane surroundings of League 2 and that is the issue Newport face here. What is more Lincoln were watching on with the feet up at the weekend. They are three without a win but they’ve played the top two in that run so I won’t hold that against them. They did beat a strong Peterborough side in the Checkatrade Trophy last week though. Lincoln have won four of their last five at home and can extend that here.
