The big guns come out to play in the German Darts Open on Saturday as the last 32 of the evening is played out across the two sessions of action. There are some good matches to enjoy on Saturday as well as some new names on what should be an interesting day.
Afternoon Session
The former world champion Stephen Bunting gets us underway when he takes on the local man Bernd Roith. They are followed by Ian White and Warrick Scheffer. Gerwyn Price will be up after them. He takes on James Richardson and then Steve West meets Adam Hunt.
The quality of match then increases when Kim Huybrechts meets Mervyn King before Michael Smith takes on Rob Cross. Alan Norris then plays the Belgian youngster Dimitri Van den Bergh before the afternoon is rounded off by Simon Whitlock playing Darren Webster.
Evening Session
Cristo Reyes has the honour of leading off the evening session when he faces the teenage star Nico Blum. Joe Culen follows then when he plays Vincent van der Voort before another Dutchman is on stage in the form of Benito van de Pas. He faces Paul Nicholson. Michael van Gerwen then plays Ronny Huybrechts.
Mensur Suljovic is in action in the evening session when he takes on Mark Walsh before Peter Wright meets the Poland star Krzysztof Ratajski. The evening ends with Jelle Klaasen playing Christian Kist in a battle of the Lakeside champions and Dave Chisnall meeting Nathan Aspinall.

Betting
There is one bet I like in the last 32 and it comes deep into the evening session when Jelle Klaasen plays Christian Kist. Klaasen has been struggling with a wrist injury recently although his run to the final last weekend suggests it isn’t the issue it was at times in the Premier League and if that is the case then I expect him to come through the clash of Lakeside winners.
Christian Kist did well to come through the first round but he misses a lot of doubles and that is something he can’t afford to do here. If he does he’ll be punished and the fact he has lost the last three meetings against Klaasen there is every chance he’ll feel the pressure and miss more doubles here. With that in mind I think Klaasen might come through with a bit to spare here.
Tips
WON – Back J.Klaasen (-1.5 legs) to beat C.Kist for a 4/10 stake at 1.85 with Bwin
