The second day of action at the Indian Open in the coastal city of Visakhapatnam sees the first round of the tournament draw to a close with a host of matches on what is another busy day in the Asian event.
We saw some big names on the first day on Tuesday but we are set to see plenty more on Wednesday as the tournament cranks up another notch overall. All the matches remain the best of seven frames.
Morning Session
Two decent looking matches get the first set of games underway as Kurt Maflin takes on Zhou Yuelong in a battle between two good scorers. The other match sees Stephen Maguire begin his campaign when he faces the exciting Thai player Akani Songsermsawad.
The main player in action in the second set of games is Mark Allen. He faces Niu Zhuang while Sam Baird goes up against Mark Davis. The other two matches see Robert Milkins against Yu Delu in an appealing clash and Michael Holt against Ian Preece.
Stuart Bingham is one of the household names in the final set of matches in the morning. He faces the Welshman Duane Jones. Andrew Higginson takes on Alexander Ursenbacher while the recent China Championship winner Luca Brecel plays Gary Wilson. Dominic Dale faces a battle with Rod Lawler.
Afternoon Session
The afternoon is fairly busy on Wednesday too. Anthony McGill takes on Ashley Hugill in the first round of matches with the other games seeing Shaun Murphy face Hammad Miah, Gerard Greene meeting Li Hang and Elliot Slessor meets Alan McManus.
The headline match in the final set of games in the first round sees John Higgins playing Zhao Xintong. Mike Dunn goes up against Martin O’Donnell with Dave Gilbert taking on Wang Yuchen. The other match is between Boonyarit Kaettikun and Liam Highfield.

Betting
This is not the easiest set of matches to predict and bet on because there are a lot of one-sided favourites. There is however one favourite who I think should be a lot shorter than he is and that is Li Hang.
Not only is Hang enjoying a really good beginning to the campaign so far but he has also had a match on the tables while he has been here. Gerard Greene has been hit and miss in this campaign and made it here courtesy of a walkover. I like how Li Hang is playing and I fancy he’ll come through with a bit in hand here.
Tips
Back L.Hang (-1.5 frames) to beat G.Greene for a 4/10 stake at 2.00 with Coral
