There are just two matches in the NatWest T20 Blast on Saturday with both taking place in the ultra-tight North Group. The race for the top four in this section is intensifying with every night that passes by and the two games here will really influence the battle.
Both these matches take place in the afternoon but that clashes with the ongoing Test match between England and South Africa so neither of these games are going to be on the box unfortunately.

Nottinghamshire vs Durham
Trent Bridge will host Nottinghamshire against Durham on Saturday with both sides looking to build on fine wins on Friday night. Nottinghamshire touched off Derbyshire while Durham edged out Yorkshire in an epic contest.
Durham haven’t been helped by the scheduler here but at least Nottinghamshire also played on Friday night too albeit much closer to Trent Bridge than Durham did. I’m not sure that will play too much of a part here.
You would think Nottinghamshire are worthy favourites here but Durham have just touched off Yorkshire so they should be respected and I am going to give them that respect by taking a different bet in this one. That is over 310.5 runs. Matches are Trent Bridge have been ultra high scoring in this tournament with the short boundaries they are using and I’m expecting no different here.
This Nottinghamshire line up is brutal with the bat in hand but Durham are finding their feet with the bat too and that line looks far too low based on what we’ve seen at Trent Bridge so far where 195 is the lowest 20 over total so far.
Worcestershire vs Northamptonshire
This is a big match in the North Group as top four chasing Worcestershire fresh off winning three of their last four matches including the derby with Birmingham on Friday night take on the defending champions Northamptonshire who can really consolidate their position in the top four with a win.
The first thing we have to recognise is that Worcestershire only finished their match on Friday night around 10pm and while Birmingham to Worcester isn’t a huge distance by the time they would have left it would have been well gone 11 and so they won’t have been home until 12-1am and then they begin this match just over 12hrs later.
Northamptonshire never played on Friday night which is a huge advantage and while Worcestershire won on Friday night they didn’t particularly convince me. They were smart with the ball but I thought Birmingham handed them the match with some rank bowling in the first 7-8 overs.
Northants are not going to do that. They are excellent with the ball and their attack combined with the scheduling advantage they have should play out into an away win to me.
