2017 NFL – Arizona Cardinals at LA Rams Betting Preview

The NFL is back in the UK on Sunday when the Los Angeles Rams bring another home game to London. This time they take on the Arizona Cardinals in an all NFC West tussle at Twickenham with top spot in the division potentially up for grabs.

Both sides will have positive vibes heading into the contest at the home of England rugby so we should get a much better contest than the last time the Rams were on UK shores.

Los Angeles Rams

This has been a much better campaign for the Los Angeles Rams. They are 4-2 for the season heading across to London where they should be comfortable having played a match last year. While they are 4-2 for the season they are a perfect three wins from three away from home so they seem to enjoy the togetherness that being away brings.

The reason for their success this season has been the output of Jared Goff. He was written off after a difficult first season in charge but new coach Sean McVay has given him the weapons, and the plays, needed to showcase his skills and he has not disappointed. That has come to the detriment of their defence but when sides win matches that doesn’t matter.

Arizona Cardinals

It had been an awful start to the season for the Cardinals. Injuries meant they had to make adjustments to their roster which saw them slide to a 1-3 early record but an emphatic win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week should really have boosted their confidence as they head over to London this week.

The catalyst for that big win was the debut of Adrian Peterson. The running back makes his second trip to London this season having come over with the New Orleans Saints and having had no chance to show what he could do at Wembley he will be out to showcase his talents in this match. All of a sudden Arizona look solid on both sides of the ball.

Betting

Divisional battles can always go either way and that is even more the case in what has been a crazy NFL campaign. With that in mind I’m not going to try to predict the outcome of this game although something in the back of my mind tells me Arizona might nick it.

If they do then there is a good chance that Adrian Peterson will have had a big game. On his debut last week he ran for well over 100 yards and banged in two touchdowns and now he goes up against the fourth worst run defence in the league so he should pile on the yardage here too. He has a rushing yards line of just 71.5 which looks a little on the low side to me when you consider Leonard Fournette burned the Rams for 130 last week.

Back A.Peterson – Over 71.5 rushing yards for a 4/10 stake at 1.85 with BetVictor
