The second game of three in the NFL this Thanksgiving Day comes from Texas as the Dallas Cowboys host the Los Angeles Chargers in what is now a big match for both sides. The Chargers are making a bit of a run in the second half of the season while Dallas have to win to keep any lingering hopes of winning the division alive.

Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys go into the match off the back of successive defeats in their only two matches since Ezekiel Elliott was suspended. The two may be linked and it may not but one thing that is for sure is that the absence of Tyron Smith has been huge. He could return here and the Cowboys need him against this Chargers outfit.
It all went wrong for Dallas against Philadelphia last weekend. Their defence has little answer to the questions that were asked of it with Sean Lee a huge loss for them and there was nothing their offense could do to get themselves going. They will be hoping to start this match much better and build on any platform they get.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers lost their first four matches this season but they are 4-2 for the campaign since then. They go into the match off the back of running up more than 50pts against the Buffalo Bills last week so their confidence should be high. They will need to finish with quite some flourish if they are to extend their season but it is possible.
The reason for their upturn in form has been their defence and in particular their pass rush which is probably the best in the league right now or certainly one of them. They have good options in their offense as well and if they can win this match and get back to 5-6 for the campaign they would have a genuine shot at the postseason.

Betting
With the problems Dallas Cowboys have shown in their last two matches, which are completely injury and suspension related, I can’t be having them in this match even though they have home advantage.
I expect Los Angeles Chargers to get after Dak Prescott in this match and I would be surprised if they don’t bring him down a few times. This is a Chargers defence that will be boosted by a huge game for turnovers last week and if that unit can get on top then their offense certainly has enough in it to get the job done.
