The final major of the season draws to a close on Sunday evening as we find out who will win the USPGA and lift the Wanamaker Trophy for the 99th time and we are set for a fascinating conclusion with a bunched up leaderboard.
The Green Mile claimed a number of casualties on Saturday as the course won for the second time this week to set up a really promising final round.
Saturday Recap
It was a busy day on Saturday with the second round finishing and the third round beginning and at the end of it we have Kevin Kisner leading by a shot on seven under from Chris Stroud and Hideki Matsuyama. Justin Thomas and Louis Oosthuizen are in close pursuit on five under with Grayson Murray two further back on three under. Patrick Reed and Gary Woodland are among a larger group on two under and five back.
We didn’t have any bets on Saturday but we did have one which finished as Chris Stroud won his heldover three ball from Friday which completed the clean sweep of bets we put up on the second day of the tournament. Hopefully we can build on that on Sunday.

Sunday Betting
With both our remaining outrights with chances falling away on Sunday I was going to tackle the outright market again but with the weather set to take another turn for the worst there could be a lottery element to the final round.
I’ve a feeling someone could come from way off the lead in this final round given the lack of major winners at the top of the board and I’m tempted to back Rickie Fowler but he keeps flattering to deceive so I’ll leave this market and go to the two balls.
Sunday 2 Balls
As ever each pairing on the golf course has been priced up with the last group going out at 19.45 BST which sees Kisner partnered with Chris Stroud. That is not the group which interests me from a betting point of view however. I like one slightly earlier in proceedings.
Graham DeLaet vs Patrick Reed
Match tees off at 19.15 BST
The fourth last group onto the golf course on Sunday sees the Canadian player Graham DeLaet out with Patrick Reed and there is a lot to like about the American around here I believe.
The two men both sit on two under heading into the round but DeLaet had one of those days out on Saturday that he is not likely to have again in a while. He had back to back eagles at one point and but for that he would be much further back. Reed has only made six bogeys and an unfortunate double in three days so his card is much cleaner than DeLaet who has had nine bogeys and two doubles.
With birdies less easy to come by on the final day of a major let alone eagles I expect DeLaet to find the going a little tough here. Reed hasn’t been in the greatest form this season but his short game has always been there and that scrambling ability can see him beat the Canadian in this final round.
