We have another busy day in the Premier League on Saturday with eight matches taking place to open up the latest weekend of action in the top flight and among them we have one of the biggest matches of the season so far.
As with most Saturday’s in the modern game we have the fixtures spread over three different kick off times with the standout one coming in the evening. There is much to enjoy before then however.
Early Kick Off
It all gets underway at the London Stadium where West Ham United will look to continue their good recent form when they play host to a Manchester United side who have plenty of pressure and spotlight on them although much of that has been created themselves. West Ham held Chelsea last weekend and will be looking to back up that result while United have to get a positive result to keep up with the early pacesetters.
3pm Matches
Arsenal will look to continue their decent form when they host one of the surprise packages of the season so far in Watford. The champions are also in action in the traditional slot when they take on Brighton at the Etihad Stadium while Wolves look for another Premier League win when they host Southampton at Molineux.
Everton will look to get their campaign back on track when they play host to a Fulham team who have played much better than their results have suggested so far. Tottenham will look to build up for the Barcelona match with a win at Huddersfield Town while Newcastle go in search of a first Premier League when they entertain the former champions Leicester City.
Late Game
You get the feeling the early matches are just the starter with the late match being the main course. That is because the last game of the day sees third placed Chelsea taking on the leaders Liverpool in a battle of two sides who are unbeaten heading into the match. Chelsea beat Liverpool in the Carabao Cup in midweek and will be looking for a quick fire double over their established opposition.

Betting
I’ll go with a couple of bets over the course of the afternoon with both of them coming in the 3pm matches. I’m expecting to see goals at the Emirates Stadium where Arsenal take on Watford. I’ve no idea how Everton didn’t score against Arsenal last week but I’m not expecting many Arsenal clean sheets at the minute and a Watford side who can play with freedom after their start to the season should feast on that Gunners back line. Arsenal will score goals though so over 3 looks a solid play.
I’ve been against Southampton all season long so far and I’m not changing that when they make the trip to take on the organised side of Wolves. Southampton are better away from home than they are on their own patch but that isn’t saying a whole lot. Their problem is Wolves don’t give a huge amount away and they are dangerous going forward with the pace and trickery in attacking areas. Wolves look good to me in this one.
