We have another two matches to enjoy in the Premier League on Wednesday evening as the battle for Europe continues with the two losing FA Cup semi-finalists both in action on what looks like an entertaining night of football.
Not only are the two losing semi-finalists from the weekend in action on Wednesday evening but we have the two Carabao Cup finalists on show so we should be treated to a decent night of football, one without the controversy surrounding the last two evenings as strongly.
Where to watch
Both these matches will be shown live and in full on the Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League channels. The build up to the games begin at 5.30pm with the matches kicking off at 6pm and 8.15pm.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Southampton (18.00)
The opening match of the night sees a side who tasted Wembley disappointment at the weekend facing a team who hope to avoid that feeling this coming weekend when Southampton head to the capital to face a Tottenham Hotspur team who will be playing their first match without Jose Mourinho.
As most sides do when Mourinho takes charge of them, Tottenham reverted to look like a poor side, one which was far worse than they should be with the players they have in their squad and it will be interesting to see if his exit frees them up a little with Ryan Mason much more likely to be a modern coach employing a side to play modern football. He might also get the right tune out of the likes of Dele Alli and Gareth Bale which could be key. Southampton will have to dust themselves down from their cup exit because they still need another win to guarantee safety in the division. Realistically though for them the remainder of the campaign is all about preparing for next season and building some confidence for it. I think that should all make for an open and hopefully attack minded match, one where I think over 2.5 goals can land.
Aston Villa vs Manchester City (20.15)
The second match of the evening comes from Villa Park where Aston Villa will look to bounce back from the late defeat to Liverpool in their last match when they take on a Manchester City side who will be eager to win here just to snuff out any lingering threat to them in the title race.
The quadruple went up in smoke for City at the weekend but they still have a lot to play for this season, one of which is the Carabao Cup which they will play the final of at the weekend. That might see Pep rest one or two of his stars here particularly as he is unlikely to have Kevin de Bruyne around for that. That might bring Villa more into the game but they still don’t convince me that much without Jack Grealish and there is no sign of his return for this match either so this is a pretty easy match to sit out.
