The Gold Cup continues on Friday night when the second set of matches in Group C of the competition will be played out down in Orlando when two sides who won their opening matches will be looking to follow up with second wins.
Those two sides are Jamaica and Costa Rica and if they both win their matches then they will play off for the group top spot on Tuesday evening in the standout match in the group. Guadeloupe and Suriname will be out to put a spanner in the works.
Guadeloupe vs Jamaica (23.30)
The opening match of the Friday evening double header sees two Caribbean sides battling it out when the qualifiers in this section Guadeloupe take on a Jamaica side who might look to move through the gears and set their stall out here.
Guadeloupe worked hard against Costa Rica and managed to keep the score respectable but they will need to do more than that here if they are going to keep their competition alive. Jamaica were controlled in their first match against Suriname and will probably look to bring more to the party here. I expect the Jamaicans to win this match and I fancy they’ll win it fairly well too but the best bet in the game is for them to win to nil. Jamaica have all the pace in the world to get back in defensive areas and probably the best goalkeeper in the competition should he be called upon. A more talented Suriname couldn’t break Jamaica down and I don’t expect Guadeloupe to do it either.

Suriname vs Costa Rica (02.00)
The second match of the night sees the first and third seeds in the group colliding when Costa Rica look to secure their passage into the knockout stage. To do that they need to beat Suriname when they meet to round off the night.
Costa Rica flew out of the traps against Guadeloupe in the first game but kind of laboured their way through the second half. They might need to play for the full 90 minutes here but you would expect them to have enough class to get the job done, especially as Suriname have to come at them a little bit which is exactly how Costa Rica like it. They showed the other night just why betting them on handicaps isn’t easy though and I don’t think it is much easier here. I’ll leave this one alone.
