The Vitality Blast continues on Wednesday evening with another three matches taking place across the two groups. We’ve been relatively fortunate with the weather which looks to be clearing for these matches which is helpful.
The women’s ODI is the televised match on Wednesday so we are on the live streams for these games. They do all clash though so you might need a few devices or to pick the one which you watch!
North Group
It is a night where Yorkshire could take a giant leap towards booking their spot in the quarter finals when they make the trip to Edgbaston to take on a Birmingham Bears side whose campaign has hit a bit of a wall in recent times with injuries beginning to impact them. The other match sees Durham looking to maintain their position in the race for a spot in the last eight. They go to Northants who kept their slim quarter final hopes alive on Tuesday evening and must win to stay in the hunt.

South Group
In a strange twist of fate the South Group is the one which has been impacted most by the weather this year with both Hampshire and Surrey having three matches taken away by the rain. That means that when they meet at the Ageas Bowl on Wednesday evening the result is huge for both. Despite their rain affected matches Surrey will move to the top of the table with a win while Hampshire have to win to give themselves any chance of a late spurt to get into the top four.
Betting
I’ll go with the one over the course of the evening which comes at Edgbaston where once again I’m going to take advantage of the short boundary that will be in play when the Birmingham Bears host Yorkshire. Yorkshire are having a tremendous season with the bat and even the comings and goings of the likes of Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root and Dawid Malan isn’t affecting that. They haven’t been so good with the ball though which is understandable when you consider they lose the services of David Willey and Adil Rashid.
Birmingham Bears haven’t got the results they wanted recently but they have encountered a load of injuries and then Jake Lintott ran into a Covid-19 issue. He is back for this match as is Oliver Hannon-Dalby so the Bears look a lot stronger with the ball which should give a lot more confidence to their batsmen. These two met in the opening match of the campaign and there were 12 sixes at Headingley in a match where 144/8 was the first innings score. There will be a much smaller boundary on offer to the players here so I like the potential of the over 11.5 sixes in this one.
