Five rearranged matches make up a mini midweek card in Sky Bet League 1 on Tuesday night and for those chasing leaders Luton at the top it is a pretty important night as they play their game in hand of the Hatters.
It is also a pretty big evening for a few of the sides down the bottom of the table who desperately need the points to ease their relegation concerns so there is much to be interested in over the course of the evening.

Big Matches
Barnsley in second place will be looking to close the gap between themselves and Luton at the top to just three points when they play host to Burton Albion in a match which was a Championship clash this time last season. Portsmouth in third will be looking to get their season back on track when they welcome lowly Bristol Rovers to Fratton Park while Sunderland in fourth will look to return to winning ways when Gillingham make the long trip to the Stadium of Light.
The Rest
The other two matches focus on the bottom end of the table where Oxford United will be looking to climb out of the bottom four when they go to the Wham Stadium to take on Accrington Stanley who themselves will be looking for an elusive win. Rochdale will look to ease themselves further away from the danger zone when they welcome bottom of the pile AFC Wimbledon to Spotland.

Betting
Burton Albion have played the bottom four in their last four league matches and while they haven’t lost any of them they have only beaten AFC Wimbledon and near enough everyone are doing that this season. I think their unbeaten run comes to an end when they make the trip to Barnsley who are in fine form at the minute and who will surely be automatically promoted with Luton come the end of the season.
Barnsley are undefeated in 12 matches and have taken 30pts from the last 36 available, scoring two or more in nine of their last 10 outings, away to Luton being the only time in that run they didn’t score twice. Nobody has left Oakwell with three points this season and only Luton have a better home record than Barnsley. I think the 4/5 on Barnsley is a good thing here.
