There is one Premier League match on Sunday afternoon and it comes from Molineux where Sheffield United will look to inject some life into their battle to avoid the drop when they head to the midlands to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves have had a season much better than many expected them to have this term and a win here will move them up to eighth in the table while Sheffield United are now eight points from safety, which is effectively nine with goal difference, and have to start winning soon.

The match will be shown live and in full on the Sky Sports Premier League channel with the build-up at Molineux beginning at 1pm ahead of a 1.30pm kick off.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Wolves were meant to really struggle this season and after a summer where they couldn’t really sign anyone significant or in huge numbers because of their PSR levels and a change in manager on the eve of the campaign beginning but they have defied all of that logic and two-thirds into the term they are on course for a really special season. A win here would catapult them right into the European chase and they have a home tie against Brighton in midweek for a place in the quarter final of the FA Cup.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have lost their last two at Molineux heading into this match though and were beaten by Sheffield United earlier in the season but in the main they have gone well at home and should see this as a great chance to pick up three points, even though Wolves are starting to miss some key players because of injuries. They certainly won’t want that injury list to get any longer but there is a lot to like about the way they play and what they are doing this season.
Sheffield United
You can’t say that about Sheffield United. There probably isn’t a lot to like about Sheffield United. It was Luton Town who were written off and ridiculed as the worst team the Premier League has ever seen but Sheffield United have been a whole lot worse and are on course to break records for the amount of goals they concede throughout the campaign. They have currently shipped 65 in just 25 games and at this rate they are going to go close to conceding 100 goals which is quite frankly ridiculous.
They could be excused for that if goals were being conceded in the hunt for them at the other end but they are the lowest scorers in the division and have looked out of their depth from the beginning of the campaign. Were it not for the points deduction of Everton you would think the Blades’ would have already had their fate sealed. That is keeping them just about in the hunt but they have to start winning regularly soon and could do with starting here.

Team News
Wolverhampton Wanderers are going to be without Matheus Cunha for the remainder of the season with injury which is a major blow. That means that Gary O’Neil has an unchanged squad from the one which won at Tottenham last week.
Sheffield United will be without Everton loanee Mason Holgate as he begins a three-match ban for that assault-like tackle on Kaoru Mitoma last week. Chris Wilder suggested a couple of his injured players could feature here but didn’t go as far as to name who that might be.
Betting
I think Wolverhampton Wanderers will win this match but I am not yet in a position where I am going to trust them to win a Premier League game at around the 4/9 mark and handicaps don’t really interest me in this one either because Wolves could very well have half an eye on that FA Cup match in midweek so I’m going to look elsewhere for a bet on this low-key Sunday offering and it comes in the form of Sheffield United cards.
Darren Bond could be a match made in heaven for cards for the visitors here. He is taking charge of just his second Premier League game this term and he dished out five yellows and a red in the other game. In all, he has refereed 17 matches this season and shown 79 yellows and a couple of reds so he isn’t too far short of five cards per game. Sheffield United are going to need to be aggressive to keep a fairly dynamic Wolves side at bay and they have a couple of card magnets in their side. Six of their players have five or more cards this season and against a slick Wolves outfit I expect the Blades to pick up four more here.
