NFL 2024 – Week 6 Sunday Early Games Tips and Betting Preview

When the action concludes inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the bulk of the remainder of the NFL 2024 week six matches take place across the two usual slots on Sunday with teams looking to better their records as we move towards the midway point of the campaign.

Although the London game is on TV earlier in the day, there are still two more live matches for us to enjoy throughout these sets of games as well as all of the big scoring plays on RedZone. Some bookmakers will stream the non-live games too.

1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)

The TV action as far as us in the UK is concerned in the first part of Sunday comes from Maryland where the Baltimore Ravens will be looking to pick up another win when they go up against an offensively strong Washington Commanders side in what should be a really appealing watch. There are five other matches in this slot with two of them being divisional battles as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will head to the Superdome to take on a New Orleans Saints side who will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat to Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. In the AFC South the Tennessee Titans host the Indianapolis Colts.

That leaves us with three matches where a couple of sides who will be looking to be huge players in the NFC are on show with the Green Bay Packers playing host to the Arizona Cardinals at Lambeau Field while the Philadelphia Eagles will meet the Cleveland Browns in a match the home side will be expected to dominate. The Houston Texans will also look to showcase their credentials when they head to the New England Patriots but they go there without the leading receiver on the season in Nico Collins.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)

There are four matches in the later slate of games with the TV action over this side of the pond seeing two more NFC challengers battling it out when the Dallas Cowboys welcome the Detroit Lions to Texas for what should be something of an explosive match. Three other matches take place in the later schedule with two of them being divisional clashes. The Denver Broncos will be looking to continue their good form in one of them when they host the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Atlanta Falcons would look to have a big chance to pick up another win in the other divisional clash on Sunday when they make the trip to take on their struggling NFC South rivals Carolina Panthers while in the other match of the evening the Pittsburgh Steelers will look to get another win when they head to the desert to take on a Las Vegas Raiders who look like a side who aren’t really going anywhere at the minute.

Betting

I’ll take a couple of bets over the course of the evening with them both coming in the later games. Denver Broncos host the Los Angeles Chargers in a match where points look like they are going to be at a serious premium. The Broncos are giving just a notch over 14 points per match this season while the Chargers are high up in pretty much every defensive category you could look at, as expected under Jim Harbaugh. The Chargers offense looks very much like a work in progress while the Denver one clearly isn’t anything special so in a divisional rivalry which is usually competitive I’m not expecting to see more than 36.5 points here.

The other bet I like is for Jahmyr Gibbs to cover 57.5 rushing yards, something he has done in his last three matches for the Detroit Lions. The Dallas Cowboys have not been good against the run this season and now having Micah Parsons or Demarcus Lawrence available for this match isn’t going to help matters. Gibbs is one of the more elusive and explosive running backs in the game who comes into this one off the back of a bye week so he should be fresh as a daisy to take on a Cowboys defence which coughed up 464 total rushing yards in just two matches against the Saints and the Ravens. The last three matches have seen Gibbs rush for 84, 83 and 78 yards so I don’t see 58 being beyond him here.
