Two more groups finish in the Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday when Groups B and C see their final matches being played out on what feels like it might be something of a defining day in the competition out in Cameroon.
The likes of Senegal, Guinea and Ghana are among the sides who are on show over the course of the day all looking to secure their spot in the knockout stages and make sure that they are still around when the business end of the tournament begins.

Preview
Group B is where the action begins on Tuesday and it does so with the pre-tournament favourites Senegal looking for the point they need to secure their qualification for the knockout stages. They take on Malawi who had a good win over Zimbabwe in their previous match. Zimbabwe need something of a miracle to qualify from here but they will be eager to depart the competition with a positive result. They face a Guinea side who will be into the knockout stages if they avoid defeat in this match.
When Group B has concluded the stage will be left free for Group C to be finished. We already know that Morocco are through to the knockout stages but in order to win the group they need to get something out of their match with Gabon. Gabon are looking in decent shape to follow Morocco through and will win the group themselves if they win that match. Ghana are in danger of going out of the tournament and only a win over the minnows Comoros will keep them in with a chance of making the knockout stages.
Betting
Morocco don’t need to win their match against Gabon on Tuesday but I do think they will win it. They don’t look like a side who are suddenly going to take it easy and will be eager to defend this proud recent record of having only lost one of their last 40 matches inside the regulation distance. One of the reasons why they have that record is because they barely concede a goal, keeping 28 clean sheets in those games, and in this tournament they have only conceded a couple of shots on target in two matches.
Gabon have had a better tournament than many expected in terms of results, but their talisman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has departed their squad after suffering from heart issues and although he hasn’t featured in the tournament, not having him around might be significant. I thought Gabon were flattered a little by their result over Comoros in the opening game and I’m not sure they get much joy out of a Morocco side who have the good mix of being hard to break down but with a fair bit of goal threat.
