The Caribbean Premier League rolls into the United States of America on Saturday for a double header of action as the other four sides in the competition get their campaigns underway in what should be a great day of cricket.
After Trinbago’s emphatic win on the opening night of the competition all four sides will know they need to get off to good starts if they are to live up to their challenge.

Guyana Amazon Warriors vs St Kitts & Nevis Patriots
The opening match in Florida sees the world boss Chris Gayle in action for his new side St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in what should be a good match to get us underway. There are plenty of stars on show here with Martin Guptill looking to lead the Guyana Amazon Warriors to success.
I don’t think too many people are expecting big things from the Warriors this season but that can often be when a sports team is at its most dangerous but you would think the Patriots are the worthy favourites with their line-up.
A trend of matches in America in the past have been the number of sixes that have been hit and with these four matches designed to showcase the game in this country I expect both sides to go on the offensive and attack which should see an 11.5 sixes line safely covered.
Jamaica Tallawahs vs Barbados Tridents
Two previous winners get their campaigns underway against each other when the Jamaica Tallawahs take on the Barbados Tridents in what should be another entertaining clash in this exciting competition.
It will be interested and a little weird to see Jamaica without Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels but that is the intrigue with franchise cricket. Even without them Jamaica look strong while Barbados are potentially the most settled side in the tournament.
This is another match where I expect the sixes to flow. This ground is small and the wicket should be decent enough for two matches in one day. With the likes of Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Smith and Kieron Pollard on show we don’t lack for hitters so over 13.5 sixes looks the way forward here.
