CSA T20 Challenge – Sunday 11th December Matches Betting Preview

The CSA T20 Challenge has reached the final round of league matches with all six sides in action on a busy Sunday in the competition and fantastically both for the event and us as followers there is still plenty to be decided.

Top spot will be decided when the top two in the table meet in the TV game in East London while the Cape Cobras host the Highveld Lions in what is a straight shoot out for third place barring some mathematical miracle in the other match. We’ll begin with the huge TV game.

Warriors vs Titans

The winners of this match know they will bypass Tuesday’s semi-final while the loser knows that while they will have to play in that semi they will at least have home advantage but neither of these two will want to be in that.

Both sides go into this match off the back of high scoring wins in their last completed matches while the Warriors won the previous meeting between the two. I think they win this one as well. We’ve seen they can chase any total down but they don’t tend to bowl badly too often.

Titans have just lost their edge in recent times and while they had a good win over the Lions that win wasn’t backed up on Friday when the Lions lost to the Knights so I like the Warriors here.

Cape Cobras vs Highveld Lions

The Lions showed signs of running away with third spot but they’ve stumbled twice this week and it will be interesting to see what that has done to their confidence. Cape Cobras have timed their run well and should be full of confidence heading into the match.

JP Duminy coming back has certainly helped the Cobras. They were a solid side without him but he adds something to them in every dimension of the game and Hashim Amla was also in the squad for the washed out game on Friday so he will bring real quality too.

The Lions just look like they’ve run out of a bit of steam and a comfortable defeat to the Knights certainly isn’t the preparation they would have wanted for this match. With that in mind I’ll take the Cobras to come through this with their extra international quality.

Dolphins vs Knights

The Knights have been out of this tournament for a while and with the two sides above the Dolphins playing each other they are out as well so this one is a dead rubber in any way you look at it. That might spell danger for the Knights given the quality on show for the Dolphins. If one of their stars get going they could go mad but at the same time the Knights showed last time out with the pressure off they can be dangerous.

That said it is a dead rubber and in truth anything can happen and nothing would be a surprise so this is a match which is pretty easy to leave alone and sit out.
