MLS 2017 – Sunday 4th June Matches Betting Preview

There are two matches to conclude the MLS weekend on Sunday night although those of us in the UK have to wait until the early hours of Monday morning for them to begin. We have a match between two Eastern Conference sides and one between two from the Western Conference.

Orlando City vs Chicago Fire

Second spot is up for grabs in the Eastern Conference when Orlando City meet the Chicago Fire with the winners to move to be Toronto FCs closest challengers in the division. Both sides head into the tournament off the back of wins which should mean they are confident.

Orlando City began the campaign well and then had a stumble and they will be eager to build on last week’s win and get a run of form going again while Chicago head to Florida off the back of four straight wins and playing some really good stuff.

The concern I have for Chicago here is that Dax McCarty is on international duty for them and I suspect he is a much bigger player for them than some would realise. I’m not convinced last week’s win has ended Orlando’s slump so I’ll sit this one out.

Seattle Sounders vs Houston Dynamo

The MLS champions take on the side who went into the weekend on top of the Western Conference table on Sunday night when the Seattle Sounders host the Houston Dynamo. A win for the Dynamo will see them back on top of the table while Seattle will move back into the playoffs should they win.

While Houston are going very well this season their form away from home is no better than terrible which is a major concern. Seattle just can’t find any consistency at the minute and while I would probably side with them to win they are plenty short enough to do so and in truth Houston’s draw in Dallas recently makes me uneasy about taking Seattle at a short price. The best thing to do is to leave this one alone too.
