The relentless Major League Soccer schedule continues on Saturday evening and with the end of the regular season finally in sight it is a big night for a number of teams as they look to either consolidate themselves in the postseason or forge their way in.
There are 10 matches on the card in total on Saturday night, many of which are at a watchable time in the UK particularly with the clocks going back halfway through. Two games are on TV and the rest will be on the bookmaker streams as always.

Big Matches
The televised action on Saturday evening annoyingly comes at the same time which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense but they are the first two matches on the card as Inter Miami look to push their way into the play-off spots when they go up against their Florida rivals Orlando City SC while the former champions Atlanta United look to follow Inter Miami in their quest to push into the Eastern Conference play-off spots when they play host to a DC United team who have been very ordinary throughout the course of the campaign.
Best of the Rest
We saw the top two in the Western Conference in action on Thursday evening and on Saturday night the leading two in the Eastern Conference meet when Philadelphia Union host Toronto FC in what is comfortably the pick of the matches in the evening. Elsewhere Real Salt Lake and Houston Dynamo will go in search of wins which could get them into the play-off spots in the Western Conference when they host FC Dallas and Columbus Crew respectively while Chicago Fire will look to cling on to that last postseason spot in the East when they welcome New York Red Bulls to Soldier Field. The other New York side, New York City FC, welcome Thierry Henry and his Montreal Impact side to the Big Apple.
Betting
I’ll take one bet over the course of the evening and we have to wait for the final match of the night for it where I see no reason why there won’t be goals in the match between the Vancouver Whitecaps and the San Jose Earthquakes. To be fair to these two a few weeks ago nobody would have given either much of a prayer of making the play-offs and yet both go into this match in the top eight and the winners will be looking very handy indeed.
That suggests both have been in good form and when you consider that San Jose away matches currently average 4.3 goals per game and Vancouver home matches also average more than four goals per game, there is a huge likelihood that there are going to be goals in this game. The goals line here is actually only 2.75 which looks a bit on the low side anyway but especially when you consider those statistics. I’m happy to be on the over here.
