After a heavy set of midweek games, the Major League Soccer weekend is split in two this week with half of the games on Saturday and the other half on Sunday. That means we have six matches to get stuck into to start off with.
Of the six matches we have two of them live on the TV in the UK to enjoy but the other four can all be watched with the bookmaker streams so if you have a bet over the course of the day then there is no reason not to be able to follow it.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off and TV in brackets)
Austin FC v Real Salt Lake (20.30)
CF Montréal v Atlanta United (00.00 – Free Sports)
FC Cincinnati v New York Red Bulls (00.30)
Orlando City SC v D.C. United (00.30)
FC Dallas v Minnesota United FC (01.00)
Vancouver Whitecaps FC v San Jose Earthquakes (03.00 – Free Sports)

Preview
The two televised matches offer us a look at both Conferences. They begin in the Eastern Conference where two sides who are embarked in a bit of a battle for a place in the playoffs meet when CF Montreal, currently on the outside looking in, host Atlanta United who have recently broken into the top seven. The other match comes from the Western Conference where two more sides who are fighting hard to extend their season clash as the Vancouver Whitecaps take on the San Jose Earthquakes in a match I think it is fair to say that neither can afford to lose.
The evening actually begins in the Western Conference where rock bottom Austin FC host a Real Salt Lake team who are terrible on the road but need to improve if they are to cement their place in the top seven. The other match from the west sees a struggling FC Dallas welcoming a Minnesota United side who are clinging into their playoff spot. Another side who are in danger of missing out on the postseason are Orlando City SC so they’ll be eager to pick up three points when they welcome DC United. The other match sees two of the stragglers meeting when FC Cincinnati meet New York Red Bulls
Betting
There isn’t a huge amount on this card that I like the look of but I will take one which comes in the match between Orlando City SC and DC United, a match where I think the goal line might be a little low even though the last couple of meetings between the teams have been a little lower scoring than expected. I expect goals because we are at the stage of the season where both teams need to be winning so there has to be an attacking, aggressive intent on show.
The goal line here is 2.75 goals and you would have got a return of some kind on the over in the last six Orlando City matches even though they have only won one of them. You would also have got a return in 10 of the last 11 DC United matches on that line so these are two sides who are often involved in high scoring matches. The last two matches at Exploria Stadium have been 3-2 and 2-4 while DC United’s last five away games have had scores of 2-4, 5-2, 3-2, 1-1 and 3-2 so they are high scoring. With the likes of Nani, Ola Kamara and Daryl Dike on show there is no shortage of goal threats here so I expect the over to land.
