Another weekend of action in the MLS 2022 season begins on Saturday evening when more fixtures take place across the two Conferences on a night where we should see plenty of decent action as the campaign continues to develop.
There are 10 matches taking place over the course of the evening and two of those will be available to be watched on TV for us in the UK. It doesn’t really need any saying but for those new to the league all matches are shown live on the bookmaker streams.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off and TV in brackets)
Houston Dynamo FC v Austin FC (18.30)
Toronto FC v FC Cincinnati (20.00)
Real Salt Lake v LA Galaxy (20.30 – Sky Football)
CF Montréal v Atlanta United (21.00)
Columbus Crew v D.C. United (00.30)
New England Revolution v Inter Miami CF (00.30)
Orlando City SC v Charlotte FC (00.30)
Chicago Fire FC v New York Red Bulls (01.00 – Free Sports)

Big Matches
The televised action on this side of the pond begins with a clash from the Western Conference as Real Salt Lake will take on LA Galaxy in what should be a decent match despite the lack of form from RSL over recent weeks. The attention then turns to the Eastern Conference for the second game as two sides who have made good starts to their season meet when the second placed New York Red Bulls head to Soldier Field to take on a Chicago Fire who have just dipped a little bit in recent weeks.
Best of the Rest
The action begins with another Texan derby as Houston Dynamo host Austin FC in a match where bragging rights will be at stake. Toronto FC were involved in an epic clash with New York City last week and they host FC Cincinnati while the 2020 champions Columbus Crew play host to DC United. Orlando City will look to continue their fine start to the season when they welcome the new boys Charlotte FC to Florida while the last game to kick off should be a good one as the Western Conference table toppers from last season host the Western Conference champions Portland Timbers.
Betting
Sporting Kansas City haven’t had the start to the season they would have wanted but the only truly bad loss they have suffered was the one at Vancouver Whitecaps. Their other defeats have all been to decent sides who they would only have been 50:50 to beat. FC Dallas have started the season very well and go into the weekend sat fourth in the Western Conference with four wins, three draws and just the one defeat on their ledger this term.
That is all good but when you look deeper into their form, their record away from the Toyota Stadium is two draws and a defeat and they haven’t scored a single goal in those games so their start to the season has been all about what they have done at home. SKC have played four home matches this term with a couple of wins, a draw and a loss to Nashville SC who are a pretty solid unit so that isn’t a terrible loss. That is the only home game they have conceded a goal in this season so against a team who don’t score easily on the road I think this is a chance for Sporting Kansas City to spark their season into life.
