The latest weekend of action in the MLS 2025 season concludes on Sunday when the three remaining games take place on what should be a very entertaining triple header of football across both Conferences.
As ever with the MLS this season, all three matches will be shown live and in full on the MLS Season Pass on Apple TV with extensive build-up to the late game which is the Sunday Night Soccer match. Bookmaker live streams will also show all three games.
Philadelphia Union vs Nashville SC (18.25)
Philadelphia Union are the only remaining perfect team in the Eastern Conference and they have the chance to move four points clear at the top for a few hours when they host a Nashville SC side who will be looking to build on their first win of the season last week.
Union have really hit the ground running this term despite question marks over the amount of changes they had between last season and this one. They are the top scorers in MLS despite having played a game less than most of the teams in the competition and while they have shipped three goals along the way that isn’t a terrible trade off. One of the baffling things in MLS for a while now is how Nashville SC can’t score more goals with one of the best players in the competition in their ranks in Hany Mukhtar not to mention a competent forward in Sam Sturridge. They have only scored twice this term, both in a crazy win over Portland last week where both the aforementioned attackers missed penalties. It might be that Nashville are starting to heat up under BJ Callaghan but this represents a tough test from the men from music city. Nashville have only won 10 of their last 37 matches in MLS and I don’t think they score enough goals to keep this Philadelphia side at bay and I can’t ignore the Eastern Conference leaders at this price.

Portland Timbers vs LA Galaxy (20.30)
In many ways the pick of the matches in the Sunday triple header is the middle game, which is the only one which comes from the Western Conference as the Portland Timbers host the champions LA Galaxy in what is already looking like a key match for both teams.
Both of these teams have started the season much slower than they would have wanted to. The Timbers have got a win on the board but there has been nothing convincing about any of their three showings, although you would probably have expected that given how late Evander left the camp and David da Costa came in and once the latter integrates himself fully you would expect an improvement out of Portland. Galaxy were probably always going to start slowly too because their talisman Riqui Puig is missing but I don’t think too many would have expected Greg Vanney’s men to start as poorly as they have. One goal in three matches and seven against in three consecutive defeats is already concerning and Galaxy need the key players left to step up and be counted quickly. This is an easy game not to bet on because of the form of the two sides and the fact that key players are either missing or getting used to new teammates but throw in some indifferent weather in the Oregon area and we can leave this alone without too many second thoughts.
Atlanta United vs Inter Miami (23.00)
The weekend concludes at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium where two of the most entertaining sides in the Eastern Conference meet in a rematch of the playoffs from last season when Atlanta United, armed with their winter spending, host Inter Miami and the superstars that they bring to the party.
I’m sure there will be plenty of references of that best-of-three series these two played out in the postseason last term where Atlanta were the last team in and took care of the Supporters’ Shield winners and huge MLS Cup favourites and now that they have spent big in the meantime, there will be more expectation on Atlanta here. That spending hasn’t presented results yet with a fortunate win over Montreal in their opening game before a defeat to Charlotte and a tame draw with the Red Bulls last week. Miami have two wins and a draw to their name but they can’t seem to keep all 11 men on the pitch at the minute. I expect goals here. Atlanta are generally free scoring and once Miguel Almiron and Alexey Miranchuk get on the same page and stop taking the same space in the attacking parts of the pitch the goals will flow for the home side. Atlanta will be harder to break down here but if anyone can do it then it will be this Inter Miami team, who have an extra dimension to their game with some younger players brought into the midfield and wide areas to go hunting the ball. Miami are still an aging side at the back though and the pace of this Atlanta offense should see this as an end-to-end match and one where the goals flow.
